Yea, i saw that, watching the 1st round now.

 

Went for a blood test today. That was at Home Park and they have a blood letting (I mean taking) facility in the posh lounge in the Stand. First time I've been in there and boy what a difference a few million makes to the place. Hell of a view of the pitch and a nice bar as well. Bar was closed unfortunately. Lazy bunch out there though there was absolutely nothing going on............

 

I know some mock the "prawn sandwich" brigade but if they want to pay for luxury, what's the problem?

Sickening really, a great new facility lying largely unused.

 

The pre-lockdown partying mob...has resulted in three weeks later a spike in Covid-19 infection....yesterday a new high of 33,470 coronavirus cases were announced......how can the Government be directly blamed for that.....okay in hindsight we can complain that they haven't got things right at times...but because the virus doesn't cause fatalities for that many people under 50ish....those age groups don't seem to be bothered....although it is them that pass it on to the older generations....who get hit harder and then it causes deaths.......50,365 death now......595 yesterday.....we need to bring in tougher rules against not masking up and not social distancing and above all not meeting up with other households.....one of my neighbours has not been obeying rules on meeting up throughout the summer and today has two cars outside visiting that are not part of that household.

 

When the second lockdown was announced, we saw the Devon & Cornwall Chief Constable questioned on television and saying "the police aren't in the business of enforcement".

Is it any wonder people ignore the rules?

 

Oh dear....Donald Trump is starting to realize that he's lost the White House....and he is now talking about running again in 2024.....so doesn't the Republican Party have a say in that....or are they all scared of him.
He's already talking of setting up his own News Agency to compete against Fox News....who he has fallen out with.....and dared to say that he had lost the election.

So, did you go next door and knock on his and tell him he's a prat then plym? My guess is you didn't. Now that isn't an attack particularly on you it is just pointing out a fact that in all probability very few would challenge their neighbour. These though are the same people who would expect a bus driver to challenge a passenger when they are paid to drive a bus not police the streets or a supermarket worker who is paid to stack shelves so we can find stuff to buy and check it out at the counter who regularly get abused by people who don't comply.

You can blame the Government for some of this. There is a man leaving Downing Street who completely flouted the rules and law of the land previously who the PM and other Ministers defended telling us he did nothing wrong. That in itself sets a precedent and when others do the same flouting and don't follow rules who is to say they are wrong in the end. Cummings should have been sacked there and then and the Government would have been in a position to lecture having set a precedent for doing the right thing. They also have been telling that age group that they are unlikely to suffer if they catch Covid. What then do they expect them to do? When I was a young matelot I did stupid things as well. It goes with the age group. Watch a school playground and see how many social distance in the playgrounds, The Government insists kids go to school I think because of the financial implications if they don't. They are the biggest spreaders and carriers of this thing of all categories. Having mixed all day with members of 30 households they go home to their parents. Not rocket science is it.

 

Cummings has gone but the damage is done. The evil little troll fooled the nation into Brexit.

 

When I voted for Brexit four years back.....I'd never heard of Cummings......not sorry to see the back of him though....never dressed as if he was going anywhere but the garden shed....or on a good day the pub.....obviously got too big for his boots in the end.....and even Boris couldn't take anymore....a bit of kitchen/bedroom power probably saw the end of him.

I originally voted no to joining the Common Market ....we entered it in January 1973....my views have never changed.....what influence Cummings had then at 13 months old must of been quite minimal.

 

Your vote isn't the issue.

It's those working class, working age bods in the manufacturing towns and the coastal towns whose jobs depend on the EU who were gulled into voting Leave and then went on to vote Conservative in the 2019 election. They were gulled into it by Brexit lies orchestrated by Cummings and his organised gang plus the far less organised Farage lunatics. They will be the ones that pay the price and neither Cummings nor Farage could care less..

 

The Government has decided to end sales of new internal combustion powered cars by 2030 rather than 2035.

That's bad news for the car industry who are being asked to switch to an entirely new technology in less than 9 years if they are to have electric cars on the forecourt and no petrol & diesel vehicles left unsaleable.

It's particularly bad for UK car manufacturing as it brings forward decisions on vastly expensive factory re-tooling. It's unlikely manufacturers will spend that money in a post Brexit UK where incoming components and outgoing cars attract tariffs.

It's a crazy decision too without considering whether electric power is the right option. There's no point going electric if the electricity isn't green. That means new renewable sources and the transmission lines to serve them. Then a vast distribution network will be needed to get the juice to the cars. Imagine what that will mean in a city like Plymouth. In the UK, up to 8% of electricity generated is lost im transmission. Imagine how much that will be when all our cars run on it.

Surely the better option is hydrogen powered cars. Produce the hydrogen close to the green energy sources so that the cost of cabling is small and so are the transmission losses. Yes, some hydrogen will be used delivering it to filling stations but it won't be 8%. We won't need to dig up every road in the country because the cars can go to the fuel rather than having to bring the fuel to all those cars individually.

I may have said this before but this a classic case of politicians posturing rather than thinking it through and it's infuriating.

 

Baroness Dido Harding is self-isolating after receiving a notification from the NHS Mobile App.

She is the head of the NHS Test & Trace Set-up.

I don't know if I should feel reassured about that or concerned that she has been in contact with someone with Covid-19 and has to self-isolate.

The only extra things I could do to protect myself.....is hide in a corner of the loft.....or in the back of a cupboard....or my garden shed....or even bury myself in the compost heap.

Maybe the answer is to stand in the shower and be continually sprayed with a solution of Bacterial hand/body wash solution spraying me continually.....maybe I'd catch a chill or even drown myself and.....good job we didn't live in London in 1665 and needed a Pudding Lane incident to sort it out.

 

She probably got too close to Boris Johnson. There are a lot of people in the Conservative Party beginning to think they've done that.

 

The obviously place would be the compost heap plym. They already use the mushroom principle of keeping us in the dark and feeding us **** so you would be helping them out as well.
