That’s not where the blame will be placed. Foreigners, remoaners, lefties and poor people will get the blame. As always.
Unfortunately I think a very significant number would blame the EU for the consequences. No doubt aided by the usual press.
Pfeffel's base us around 35%. That is how many will slavishly follow the Brexit line. With a resurgent Labour Party that is certainly not enough to win a majority. Then the Tories best bet will be to ditch Scotland. On that subject Berlin has assured the SNP that they would be welcome in the EU.
I suspect this has always been the plan since this bunch took over the Tory Party. Get rid of Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the English National Party (rebranded Conservative and Unionist Party) will rule England forever.
The Telegraph was reporting a Downing Street source this morning that Boris would be gone within the year. With Cummings gone, attention will no divert to how much influence Boris's girlfriend has. I am not convinced that Boris will survive the next 12 months and remain convinced that Javid will eventually out him. It is quite revealing how Javid has retreated in to the background so as not to be associated with the Boris and his cronies. The problem for me is that I am not convinced that Starmer is the answer. He has performed poorly since his election and his actions against the Left have alienated a lot of the core membership. The e-mails I have received from the few fellow Labour Party members I sometimes speak to is suggestive that there is a similar battle going on within Labour to try to reclaim the Party's soul.
Johnson has said he wants to go but he is too idle to write a letter of resignation. I write it for him now if he would like.
If the Tories have any sense they won’t let Johnson go until the worst of the pandemic and Brexit fallout is over. Pushing him out too soon risks his replacement being dragged down by the above, and becoming tainted. Let him go on for too long, creating more disasters, and they have less time to rewrite history before the next election.
The Mail trying to slur Marcus Rashford, by publicising details of his property portfolio. Worthless rag. https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/n...cL8DozOCKRel6BQv_zc7Dy9I_upjAqV_wgKvYvzjA9Xgs
Saw that. Disgusting. Forget football loyalties, MR is someone all of us would be proud to have as a son.
I would have thought, given Marcus’s income as a PL player, investing in bricks and mortar is one of the more sensible things he could use his money for. Would the Fail rather he throw it all away on parties, booze, and women like another Man Utd hero of former times?
That young man is a credit to his family, his generation, and the city of Manchester. (I nearly said his club, but couldn’t bring myself to do that). The Mail, on the other hand, is a disgrace to our country and it’s supposedly tolerant values.
