My family ties to this club go back 150 years, my great grandad used to follow us at the old Newcastle Road ground. All my family are red and white, it's as much a part of my identity as my name and what schools and University I went to. I'm 47 and no matter how much disappointment I've suffered over the years or how disillusioned I get, I'll still end up coming back and backing us to the hilt. I was at Wembley twice last year, I was in the North Stand when Jeff Witley missed in the penalty shoot out against Crystal Palace, endured Mich Buxton and Terry Butchers mismanagement, but I was also there when Steven Caldwell scored the header against Wolves to get us promoted under Mccarthy, the 100 point season under Reid, Kean getting us promoted after the 15 point season with Carlos Edwards wonder goal against Burnley. We'll be back, even if it's hard at times, because it's what we do.
Can't argue about any of that. If they hadn't got the finances under control, we would be right in the clarts by now, so credit where credit is due.
It’s a really nice part of the world. The lake is stunning but it’s the surrounding mountains that I love most. As you say it’s not the easiest to get back to the UK depending on where you want to go. An hour to Milan then direct flights to Manchester and London. Easier to get back for away games than home games (when we are allowed in). Also managed to find the one other SAFC supporter in Lugano. Would be a great location for the club for a pre-season. Great facilities and climate and mixture of opposition to play.
Le Let's face it, if we done a Man City the same would be whinging that we'd done it the 'wrong way'. No pleasing some so I won't worry about them.
You're right mate. Only get respect and media coverage if you're in the prem or the top end of the championship.
I honestly don’t get the negative scepticism bordering on wanting this to fail by some supposedly fans.. what happened to us all wanting the very best for our club willing to give people a chance to do better than what we’ve had.. I know we have been hurt on many occasions plenty of false dawns but I thought we all pray and live in hope for good news and brighter times ahead.. I am happy with all the info drip fed us when available by the ITKs and I do hope for better times that’s why I still have a season ticket and I am genuinely excited to see what’s in store
In theory that's the best thing about it, not the worst. Everyone has the right to voice their opinion and nobody is obliged to pay any attention to it. In practice though it generally ends up that negative people attract other negative people and they end up making a disproportionate amount of noise. One of the best things I ever did was delete all of my social media accounts. It was making me dislike people who I actually liked when we were face to face.
I suspected for a while there are many mags on RTG ..the reaction on there just confirms it to me . Everything gets disrupted and general negativity seems co ordinated.
The amount of people desperately trying to prove this isn't a takeover, or won't happen, is absolutely insane. The same people were desperate to proclaim how lucky the Mags were and that their takeover would breeze through ... 'because money talks'. Their main 'evidence' that this is just investment is that the directors we have now will still be there. Well yes but not necessarily as directors. Dreyfus can walk in, dismiss them and appoint me and @Magnus. Whatever the case Dreyfus is no gullible little mug who's having his pants pulled down ... ... anyone who believes that's the case is drafter than the horse puncher.
the guy has a degree from Harvard and that’s not withstanding the fact his family are all billionaire winners. I’m still feeling good
You do get some sunlan fans want us to lose together rid of parky. Even if we changed manager and brought pep in January we would be too far behind...we need to win
Exactly this. They will be shareholders and that's it. No different to my shares in various companies.
