How can you investigate crossing a white line after the race? It's pretty clear cut yes or no surely? 5s added to your time is a lot less than 5s to a pitstop. For the benefit of the race I assume.
Hamilton today showing Max what a 7xWDC looks like- hasn’t put a foot wrong, never over eager, made the right decisions. A proper stellar drive. His best win of the season IMO.
I know he's in a Mercedes...but... I would have been more likely to put money on Stroll than Hamilton to win today. How on earth....
Have Mercedes thought of binning Bottas and taking either Vettel or Perez instead for next season? It’s one thing driving the Merc in the dry, but changeable conditions/wet and Bottas is hopeless.
I'm sure they have thought of it, but they wouldn't want to upset their number 1 driver. It might be what we want, but why would they want it? They win both championships anyway.
I would say by this stage of his career, I’m don’t think he cares who he goes up against. Vettel maybe a 4x WDC but since that time when push came to shove he has been found wanting. How many podiums has Perez had, so they’re not exactly a massive threat to Hamilton.
It will, and it’s nice to see him on the podium. But driver of the day? Really Sky? Not when your team mate gains over 25 seconds on you and only loses out on the last lap going for second. Charles was extraordinary today.
