Not for some people. They are only happy if the best team wins and consider us who are happy as long as we win to be tribal and not as sophisticated as them. Myself, we win and I'm happywhatever the performance was like.
Should have significantly improved our goal difference today. Not good enough. Terry’s a ****. Ehab’s bitch. Allams out,
Well, that was a frustrating watch, though credit to Burton who worked their socks off and made it difficult for us. Some poor'ish performances, Honeyman, Docherty & Smallwood did not have their best games, Scott and Meyer were anonymous for the most part of the first half. Wilks had a good game as did Greaves, we missed KLP and Magennis though.
It was never going to be easy once they went down to 10 men and parked the bus. They had no shots on target all match which says it all. We were scratchy first half but the subs made the difference and 2-0 is good any day.
Can’t agree with that entirely - Smallwood had one of his best games for us. Some tremendous passing. Agree Honeyman not at his best, and Docherty not worth his place at the mo.
Another three points. Good league position. What’s not to like ? Better than getting beat every week.
Having been critical of Wilkes at half time, I thought he had a really good second half. Definitely thought his decision making was better and he does have goals in him - just as well today as I really was beginning to think we wouldn't score. As for Eaves, I thought he did ok . We looked better with him in the centre and Wilkes on the right.. Yes, he should have scored but it was a decent save form a goalie who played well all afternoon. Greaves just looks like he has a calm head on him - very promising.
Although Eaves’ finish in the 1 on 1 was awful, he did make a huge difference when he came on, if only for roughing up the Burton defence and allowing Wilks to go to his strongest position. Also we were robbed of two clear-cut pens.
just revamped the table to show points per game and goal difference per game, so, provided the formatting isn't a right pain, here it is. includes new position and real position to make it easier tos see which teams might be in the wrong place. accrington rise due to a decent record and not playing as many games. npos rpos team ________ pld __ ppg __ gdpg 1 __ 4 __ Charlton ______ 10 __ 2.20 __ 0.70 2 __ 2 __ Hull __________ 11 __ 2.18 __ 0.82 3 __ 1 __ Peterborough __ 12 __ 2.08 __ 0.83 4 __ 3 __ Ipswich ________ 11 __ 2.00 __ 0.73 5 __ 5 __ Lincoln ________ 11 __ 2.00 __ 0.55 6 __ 6 __ Sunderland ____ 11 __ 1.91 __ 0.55 7 __ 11 __ Accrington ______ 8 __ 1.88 __ 0.00 8 __ 7 __ Portsmouth ______ 11 __ 1.82 __ 0.82 9 __ 9 __ Plymouth ________ 10 __ 1.80 __ 0.40 10 __ 10__ Doncaster ______ 10 __ 1.70 __ 0.70 11 __ 8 __ Fleetwood ______ 12 __ 1.58 __ 0.58 12 __ 12 __ AFC W'bledon __ 11 __ 1.27__ 0.00 13 __ 13 __ Crewe __________ 11 __ 1.18 __ 0.09 14 __ 15 __ Blackpool ______ 11 __ 1.18 __ -0.36 15 __ 16 __ Gillingham ______ 11 __ 1.18 __ -0.45 16 __ 17 __ Rochdale ________ 11 __ 1.09 __ -0.64 17 __ 18 __ Bristol R ________ 11 __ 1.09 __ -0.73 18 __ 14 __ MK Dons ________ 12 __ 1.08 __ -0.08 19 __ 20 __ Swindon ________ 10 __ 1.00 __ -0.50 20 __ 21 __ Oxford __________ 9 __ 1.00 __ -0.67 21 __ 19 __ Northampton ____ 12 __ 0.92 __ -0.92 22 __ 22 __ Shrewsbury ______ 11 __ 0.73 __ -0.64 23 __ 24 __ Wigan __________ 11 __ 0.64 __ -0.91 24 __ 23 __ Burton __________ 12 __ 0.58 __ -0.83
