I still believe customer pu are run in lower power than manufacturer ones. I know technically they all have same power modes but do Merc have to tell customers how to access them?

What on Earth it will be like with 20 cars racing for position on this grip less tarmac is anyone’s guess.

 

Congratulations to Lance- my thoughts on him are clear but you can’t take away the lap in those conditions, great job.

 

well, looked like it could be a wash out but that was great, grats to Strolololol, he seems to do well in the wet.

Of all the things 2020 has dished up, that could be the most unexpected.

 

Stroll under investigation for ignoring yellow flags on his pole lap. Perez was sideways just off the track.

He has been cleared but Norris has a 5 place grid penalty for ignoring the double waved yellows in Q1 after Latifi put it in gravel. He did lift but carried on to set his fastest lap!! Isn't that what Stroll did?
Also Sainz has 3 place penalty for blocking Perez

 

Stroll is definitely on pole. He's been cleared of wrongdoing.

Both McLarens have been penalised. I assume Masi will once again get away with it though.

Letting the cars on track whilst a tractor removed a stricken car in the wet. Literally the thing that last killed a driver.

 

Exactly. He and his predecessor has allowed drivers just to be able to show on a telemetry graph that they lifted!!!!
After the last accident they should have changed things to enforce say 50mph past the section. Problem is if they changed the rules they it could look they had failed to protect drivers and marshals in the even of a crash. So they don't want to get sued!!!!
NUTS:- yellows should automatically cancel any timed laps where a car passes a yellow. That way zero incentive to lift for a fraction then plant throttle again.
In race a bit different but they have the VSC system so why cant that be used in the yellow section?

 

Rain does level the playing field, i think Verstappen will win tomorrow if he has a clean start, Mercedes drivers poor today.

Max looked forlorn after being beaten by Stroll. His time will come soon but life is giving him some lessons along the way.

Mad race but great to see someone other than the mercs up front. Only 18 laps gone as I write this but Stroll looking good so far and managing tyres well
