Some people are saying the sale is only agreed but won't go through, that Donald will still pull the strings, that the new owner is too young/experienced/wealthy, that nothing will change, that the wage cap will kill us, that mini skirts aren't short enough, that Parkinson is here for life, etc etc etc. Groundhog day on the internet tbh.
Over the ****ing moon with this news today. Been looking forward to catching up with the thread for hours, so thats me settled for the night now....a bit of me time. I hope everyone's drink of choice tastes just that bit sweeter tonight, I'm just about to have mine, its been a long day. @Prehab26 @Smug in Boots @Magnus @Wheatsheaf @Hawyatt Earp (i hope I haven't missed anyone) I raise a glass to you all, you deserve it for all the **** you've had to put up with, especially from over the road. P.S. the unlabelled bottle, is homemade whisky, given to me by the wife of a patient we had in the hospice as a thank you for looking after him. I wanted to keep it for a special occasion, he was an SAFC fan, who liked to make whisky, I'm opening it tonight. Cheers to you all.....
I’ll agree with the mini skirts bit. But my feeling is this is the start of something great for S A F C and well overdue
Thing is mate I'm not wound up, don't need to breathe or chill out ... ... I'm totally relaxed, and really enjoying the moment, but firing back at the bellends who kept insisting nothing at all was happening. I don't see the problem with that tbh.
Ah well, look, finally some great news mate. The lad may be young but perhaps that's what we need, young billionaire bang into his football. Probably a first. I'm sure there will be a 5 year plan in place or something like that?
Well F*****g exactly. I'm one of the good guys. Over 85 away grounds with the lads, dad's ashes under the SoL pitch, physical scars, blah blah.
I live in Lugano although I don’t mingle in those circles! More than happy to buy Mr Tonna a Spritz or two as a thank you for the info he gave you!
Thank **** this is actually happening at long last! Critical that we get the football appointments right, as we’ve seen, no amount of money can make up for ****e appointments. My only worry is that we sign Messi and he retires before we are out of lockdown
I have a questions re figures being mentioned re % New bloke 60% Juan 20% Chancer 15% Salmon pants 5%* Is salmon pants loosing 1% as he originally had 6% didnt he? Why just 1%? To just even the numbers up?
Yep, Methven's taken full control and has promised at least £35 will be spent on the first team. Storey playing upfront v. MK Dons. Jack Rodwell drafted in to replace Jim Rodwell as CEO. Unfortunately he's injured until 2032 but there's every chance he'll do a top job when he returns.
That's all admirable mate. I just don't need telling to breathe, I enjoy firing back at the tossers who kept telling me I was a fantasist. Why would anyone have a problem with that?
See, and people claim the ITKs are full of ****. Pretty much as to what had been hinted at for months.
Getting it out of context and bring a bit literal. I was being supportive, that is all. You don't need it, no problem, but being nice.
Just an expression. You're really missing context. Have you ever been accused of arguing in an empty room? Sorry, missed your last reaction. Ignore and enjoy the moment
I put my point of view, in a blunt manner ... ... it doesn't mean I'm a seething pit of rage, I'm not. I take things literally, on a forum, because vague hidden meanings are pointless mate. Say what you mean or expect to be 'taken out of context' whatever that means.
Sometimes hints are all you can post, otherwise you find the messages stop and you get no more. These aren't little games people play, they're multi million pound deals with serious consequences.
The biggest question I've got is probably the same as other people's, namely what happens with the FPP loan? If it's not paid back, it must mean that (a) they are happy with this new ownership and (b) the new set up are happy with the loan still being in place for now. So, unless the loan is going to be paid back in the future, does this leave the door open for them to get involved later on? Could that be how to get ride of Donald's and Methven's shareholdings? Or am I just over thinking it? Anyway, today's been a good day to be an SAFC fan, certainly the best for a couple of long years and I'm excited for the future!
