Well it's a bright sunny day on the Sunshine Coast and I have next to nothing to do, so I decided to make you all filthy rich. Of course you don't have to be wealthy if you choose not to be, I myself, rather enjoy not having two coins to rub together. But I understand that are some out there who aspire to a life of opulence.

As I sit here, I can just imagine the palpable excitement that must be coursing through the body of anyone foolish enough to still be reading this garbage. In the interest of you, dear reader, I collated information from yesterday's 21 races, and laid out the workings of this magnificent system. At this point, I have to advise that those interested in pursuing the untold riches on offer, that they must come readily equipped with a vast sum of money, if they want to make inroads into their pauperdom.

The idea of the System, is to make a set amount from each race, betting on the favourite, let's say $10. So the ideal outcome at the end of the day, would be a $210 profit. This an ongoing process. Of course all monies lost chasing those $10 wins, must also be recouped. If the full return is not met on the first day, then it will be picked up on the next. Remember though, you'll need extremely long pockets. So we need to win $10 on the first race, if it loses, then we need to win 2 lots of $10 plus the amount invested in the first. For the sake of taking it easy on myself, I'll round up on down by a small amount when it gets too fiddly. And on it goes.

    14:10 1-1. $10 outlay. Lost. Total Lost. - $10.
    14:20 4-6 $50 outlay. Lost. Total Lost. - $60.
    14:30 5-1 $20 outlay. Lost. Total Lost. - $80.
    14:40 2-1 $60 outlay. Won. - Return $180. Profit to date: $40.
    14:50 9-2 $3 outlay. Lost. -$3.
    15:00 5-1 $5 outlay. Total Lost. $8.
    15:10 11-4 $ 16 outlay. Won. Return $60. Profit to date: $74.
    15:20 3-1 $4 outlay. Lost. $4.
    15:30 5-2 $10 outlay. Lost. Total Lost. $14.
    15:40 8-11 $66 outlay. Lost. Total Lost. $80.
    15:50 5-6 $ $144 outlay. Won. Return $264. Profit to date: $114.
    16:00 2-5 $25. outlay. Lost. $25.
16:10 7-4 $25 outlay. Won return Almost $70. Profit to date: $132. Approx.
    16:20 9-2 $3 outlay. Lost. $3.
    16:30 3-1 $8 outlay. Won Return $31. Profit to date. $153.
    16:40 7-2 $4 outlay. Won. Return $18. Profit to date. $167.
    16:50 9-4. $5 outlay. Lost. $5
    17:00 5-2. $10 outlay. Lost. Total Lost $15.
    17:10 1-2 $90 outlay. Lost. Total Lost. $105.
17:20 11-10 $130 outlay. Won. Return $245 approx. Profit to date. $210 approx.
    17:30 5-1 42 outlay. Lost. Total lost $2.

    Approx profit on day $208.

As this was done on the run, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are a few mistakes in the maths. Don't forget that there was a fair bit of rounding done. But hopefully you'll get the picture. Large notes in manilla envelopes would be gratefully accepted.

I had a similar idea with football. Usually the price for a draw is around 5/2, never seems to be less than 2/1. You can virtually pick any team and just bet on that one team (League matches only). I haven't seen any team go through a season without drawing and some draw a lot. Might be worth looking at the results of a team before plumping for one.

In the Hinterland BT. I'm about 20 minutes from Noosa. But I prefer Mooloolaba.

You could apply the idea to anything Ron. Football would be ideal mate. <ok>
