He was solid and no more for me, which is still an achievement in itself. I can't believe that folk are banging on about Parky tonight. They've been screaming for him to put the kids out so he does it tonight and they play great, we are winning and its great to watch. Fast forward 3 injuries and Fleetwood scoring a couple goals and all of a sudden it's all Parky's fault. It was shocking, why didn't he see them injuries coming and make the subs earlier... Parky gets a free pass from me tonight. It was a game that meant nothing, it was going well and then injuries kicked in. It's one of them.
this game only showed our weakness again...while we have good players across the pitch we are going to struggle in front of goal, timing those runs, being able to judge the flight of a cross, just simply being in the right place at the right time, not one of our regular strikers show any of that, wyke has got a couple but that is more down to passes being exactly on the end of his foot/head and less than 4 feet away from the net (saying that, DG still missed from 4 feckin inches out) so i was really hoping we had at least one young lad we could start. i dare bet our league games against fleetwood will be almost identical, i have noticed that they seem almost happy to sit back a wee bit in the first half of games, never scared to give a goal away...then come out the second half like a different team, the opposition are blowing out their arses after doing all the running around. might have to watch more of their games, see if it is 'a thing'.
different player for me tonight, some good passes, got stuck into the tackle, won some headers and while not the best defender put a couple of good last ditch tackles in...far from the finished article and i would still be doubtful about putting him in the 1st team though. only 'fault' parky gets from me is starting obrien although i can see his reasoning there, really wanted to see curry or someone given a run, guess the subs blew that choice out.
Macfadzean look decent until he went off and Embleton has cracking delivery. Diamond looked lively, but needs to get his head up more, but I believe under a good coach this could easily be rectified.
Well I understood the bit about asking if I see any positives but the rest didn't make sense. Yes, I see positives with Parky.
I think we are a solid team now and hard to break down. We have one of the best defensive records throughout the professional leagues and we are also really tough to beat in the league. We are lacking options upfront which is his fault but if we could get that clicking we would be flying. Its still early days in the league so lets see where we are after another 10 games. We are right up there at the top of the league.
but you forget Parky had the chance to recruit a striker or two, and who did he pick, even when the new transfer window comes up would you trust him to get a young keen tall fast one, or recruit from within, or stick with the ****e he has already
aye, i maybe should have said 'should start'...i honestly wanted to see some decent mobility and fighting to reach balls into the box.
if we could get that clicking we would be flying..................i don't think so with parky, time will tell but bet im right
