    Today I'll be thinking of the men and women who gave their popular music to the world. Had it not been for their blood, sweat and tears, we'd all be listening to German classical music.

    First up, Cliff Richard. From his rebellious rock and roll origins through to his hauntingly beautiful rendition of the Millennium Prayer, no one has contributed more to popular music.

    You cant invent something that is already there.

    His experiments only helped establish the connection between lightning and electricity, nothing more.

    His oldman was English, so therefore its an English discovery.

    Michael Faraday should get the real contributions to the understanding of electricity and electrochemistry. He is the farther of electricity.
