Just watched the Saints aftershow on YouTube. Quickly realised why I’d never bothered before as it’s mostly reading people’s social media posts about the game. Dean Hammond was good though. He said it looked like we were on the training ground for most of the game. Totally relaxed, trying flicks and tricks and overlaps. Looks like this team is chock full of confidence right now. Perfect to go to the international break, most people can rest a bit and be ready for a tough one when we come back against Wolves. After that though it’s United, Brighton and Sheff U. There’s not many teams I think will scare us this year.

Agree with that. You can get some random results in the first two or three, but from six games in it is proper ...
My poor old Toon mate is having a bad weekend... Friday night and then today he came off his bike and ended up in A&E oops.

People have misunderstood me a couple of times now - me saying Stephens was a weak link vs Newc is by no means a criticism of him. I think he did a bloody good job considering he is a CB - but he still was a weak link and offered nothing going forward (through no fault of his own). IMO you can never have a go at a player being played completely out of position.
