It’s a shame Le Tiss is no longer on soccer Saturday. I would have loved to have seen his face today.. Cheshire Cat springs to mind.
The games played stat now is even more impressive. Anyone can be top after 3, but after 8 shows some genuine consistency
Can anyone provide a rational explanation why an old dodderer in his mid-seventies when out for his early morning walk should, in the privacy of a country lane, raise his arms to the sky, belt out a lusty version of "We're Top of the League" and punch the air several times?..... ..... walk home remembering the man who introduced me to the Dell 68 years ago and on returning home who looked at me with a mixture of pride and foreboding when I asked him "Will you take me again Dad?" He knew that supporting our club ain't easy but boy when some success occasionally comes along, it's more the sweeter!" COYS
Quick highlights up on the Saints YouTube for those who like that sort of thing, extended up tomorrow usually. I fell asleep exactly at full time. Can properly enjoy it today!
Michalczuk? Merson? The same bitter skate? Just sayin' I got up this morning to check, and we're still TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I 100% get it. I'm no spring chicken but woke up at stupid o'clock this morning feeling like a kid on Christmas Day.
Little man has had a tooth fall out this morning and asked if it meant the tooth fairy would bring him some money. Had to tell him "Sorry mate, but I've heard that the tooth fairy has put all their money on Saints to win the league."
Still looking at the table and pinching myself. When we lost our first 3 games of the season I thought we had blown all the momentum we had gained from the end of last season. Turns out it was just our pre-season with the players getting up to speed. Perfectly happy to sacrifice the League Cup in a season where the fans may not be able to attend the final anyway. That Burnley game wasn't pretty, but what an important result that has turned out to be.
Unreal, if you extend our form back to lockdown then we have been brilliant for ages. Ralph is a genius
Small steps, I know, but if Everton are never in front today, we're still TOP OF THE LEAGUE for all of today, and at least half of tomorrow.

Shame that fans denied the opportunity to be at St,. Marys' to see something this momentous. Probably worthwhile checking the passports now given the issues with Brexit! Quite interesting that this has been achieved without any of the players brought in during the summer, excluding KWP. For me, the only downside is that we are out of the League Cup which means the fringe players are not playing and Saints fans would have had the opportunity to witness even more exciting performances.
Being out of the League Cup is not a bad thing when we are competing for Europe. Don't need the extra games.
So, will we be first on MOTD, as a scene setter, or consigned to a minutes highlights just showing the goals?
