Final whistle. 1-3 away win for Pompey. Excellent performance, and nice to see ex-academy youngster Haji Mnoga making his debut and apparently playing well. Talented young prospect !

i have watched the ifollow replays of the Charlton and Lincoln games. Obviously the Charlton scoreline was disappointing but the replay indicated that Pompey played in similar style to that which has bought recent success. Charlton basically created two chances and took both. Pompey did not create clear cut chances themselves but did get the ball in Charlton's penalty area plenty of times. The consoling feature to me was that the mid field play remained quite good unlike in previous poor results where the ball has been hoofed over the mid field with too much regularity. It was therefore gratifying that the Charlton result did not appear to drag on the team when they played Lincoln. They retained the 'shape' they have had in recent successes and got another reward. The depth of the squad was also demonstrated when Whatmough & Brown - two of the seasons strong performers - dropped out without negative effect. Having watched several games now I have become increasingly impressed by Tom Naylor's form. An appropriate choice of Captain.
