Hello chaps, hope all is well?

Knew I could rely on you lot for some US Political discussion.

I read an article today that talked about Nebraska’s “split” nomination which means that the election theoretically could end tied at 269 apiece. Wouldn’t that just about be the icing on the burnt cake that is 2020?!

Democrat voters are certainly the noisier this year but this all comes down the silent Trump voters- will they turn out in droves or is the blue wave out in force this year compared to foolishly thinking it was a formality the last time?

I can’t put anything past the US but you’d think the Democrats would take this. The big nagging doubt for me is Biden himself- he isn’t convincing at all and it feels a bit like Hilary MK II - he desperately needs the “anyone but Trump” brigade to see him home.

I think it will be very close in the swing states and if Biden comes out narrowly the right side of those he should win nicely- however you can’t help but think it’s close and that Trump will stir up more nonsense about a postal vote.

My mate in the US thinks Trump will win and wouldn’t be surprised to see a popular vote win for him - I hope he’s badly wrong.

Either one by a distance?? Who knows. I hope Democrats win and get rid of the Trump turbulence. We need some stability to come through this horrible pandemic.

Not bad just unlucky that i backed them to beat us tonight and my betting form is worse than Wednesdays.

 

I think Trump will win too and am surprised he hasn't been odds on in the betting. Really really hope i'm wrong though. I don't think Biden is offering them much in the way of an alternative but anything is better than Trump. Just has to be. I do get the feeling though, that if the Democrats do get in then Kamala Harris will be commander in chief before the four years are up.

 

No way Biden can do a full term. I have watched 2 videos of him today. It is disgusting that people have actually got him doing this. One clip he is meant to introduce his grandaughter to a crowd with his arm around her he introduces her as his son Beau Biden. Another is an incoherent ramble about a pool job he had with black friends that he did know. I feel sorry for him, it doesnt look right.

its astonishing that people can keep playing the voting game when this is whats served up to them, Biden literally doesnt know what day of the week it is and is a blatant pedo, I think Trump is hilarious and love his trolling but hes just a clown show.

If people genuinely believe the job of president and democracy is real and these 2 are the best candidates to steer the ship, why have they not killed themselves yet?

They are nothing but temporary frontmen, something for the masses to focus their attention and rage on, replaced every few years to create the illusion that something might change with "the new guy", all the while the same global agendas roll on, the same system and status quo.

Real power doesnt last for 4 years then get passed on, real power doesnt stand with a mic begging for your approval, politics is a puppet show, democracies are owned and ruled from the shadows. When presidents turn up at Bohemian Grove they are at the bottom of the food chain, not the top.

Not really surprising it is so close - have there ever been 2 worse candidates for president ?

 

I got 5/2 Trump and like you say he is 8/11 now.
It looks like it could be a photo finish going to the judge.

 

There are counties in several states that Obama and Clinton won by 30+ that Trump has won by 5-10. Unreal.
Final result could be 270-268 Biden yet. Knife edge.

 

As of a couple of minutes ago, it looks as though it's slipping away from the Democrats. Last time they put up Hillary, now Sleepy Joe. I'm beginning to wonder if they could run a chook raffle.
