I haven’t really got a problem with VAR I think it needs tweaking. My initial thought was a free kick, for a goal to be allowed the ball has to totally cross the line, same as a throw in. I thought their player was touching the line at best. Another thing I’m noticing more, the amount of corners where the ball is placed too far away from the line
Good game for the neutral, not as cut and dry as the scoreline made out, Bamford scores the header after 2 minutes (though to be fair to him, he didn't have much time to adjust) or Hernandez hits the postage stamp with his effort, could have been a completely different story.
If Koch had not over compensated for the wet conditions and put more on the back pass to Meslier, we will never know. We weren't good enough on the night and so we move on and learn.
