    Albert likes playing golf too. It's the only time he gets to hold wood using 2 hands.

    <laugh>....that was always the problem if you had a hickory shaft. They used to flex too much in damp conditions.

    That sounds like the love child of the current New Zealand and an ex Irish Prime Minister.

    Locked in for a 2 week rave with viewing platforms for gamblers placing bets on who'll be the last to drop. An updated version of 'They Shoot Horses,Don't They?' renamed 'They Shoot XTC, Don't They?'

    @captain wrong

    Looks like I misled you yesterday. Read through the new lockdown regulations and they are saying you can't go abroad on holiday.

    Just phoned the Mrs to tell her that now they are shutting her business she can come and see me and she gleefully pointed this out.

    I think flights might be OK... There's some details to be released on the 5th s to what's allowed and what's not... Surely you can just lie?

    The rule is that you cant leave your home for a holiday either in UK or abroad. Business trips are okay.

    Course you can lie as, if its like all the other travel rules, they wont check. It would be very simple for them to insist that you have to have a letter from the company you are visiting, but I am sure they wont.

    If you need a letter saying you are on a business trip to Indonesia let me know.

    As long as you dont actually come of course!

    Where have you read this? I know the antibody tests showed that, but antibodies aren't even our main way of forming immunity. We'd have to look at T Cells and B Cells. Tricky to test for though.I have to say there are some very easily led people, there is nothing wrong with doing your own critical thinking and listening to a broader range of scientists than the ones the government are basing decisions on.

    On this very thread we have countless people trying to blame:

    • anti mask - no scientific proof masks achieve anything. Indeed the only scientific study done so far in Denmark can't get peer reviewed by a medical journal due to the controversial nature of the results. I think we can all work it out.
    • people not following the rules and listening to the science - people do realise there are a lot of scientists in the world right? Not just a handful. Opening your mind to actually listen to a few is quite enlightening. I'm not talking about some crackpot in a lab in deepest Russia. I mean like this guy from Oxford University who obliterated the government basis for lockdown fairly rapidly. Yep their modelling is way way out again. But hey, just keep blindly following THEIR scientists and the BBC fear campaign.
    Simply dismissing all opinions that don't agree with a doomsday scenario or the necessity for lockdown is pretty average of the individual to be honest.

    The biggest problem in this country isn't people not following rules. Its that we don't have an effective opposition, and nobody is even bothering to act as a check for this government as they make decisions that will severely damage our future generations.

    Cue the faux rage <laugh>

    There's a list on exceptions due out anytime between no and the 5th... My trip away wasn't actually a holiday, but I have to be there and was making trip of it.
