Mansfield have sacked Coughlan after their winless start to the season.

He left us 4th in League One and Mansfield just above the League Two dropzone. I guess he’ll have even more time to spend with his family now.

Not being funny but being 4th in L1, if he showed ambition and loyalty with us, he could have ended up making a name for himself in the manager game and got a better job higher than us in the food chain. But to leave us when we were riding high to join a struggling L2 team showed a complete lack of ambition on his part and the way he left us showed a lack of loyalty too. Wael gave him his big break in the manager game. Fans got behind him, even though we hated his style of football but it worked and we were in our best position in the table for years, since we beat Southampton 3-2 away with the late winner from Andy Williams. Wael, the club and us fans deserved some loyalty back. GC could have waited until the season ended and then leave because who knows, he could have got us promoted and he would then have a promotion on his CV. But to leave us how he did meant he wasted a great chance to make a name for himself and it then put pressure on him to succeed at Mansfield to prove he made the right decision, which would have put his name out there for a higher move. Obviously having money to burn was too much for him and he just couldn't take the pressure. He brought in tons of new players in the summer and failed to win a single game this season, league or cup. He has literally ruined his managerial career already. Managed 2 clubs and failed to last the whole season for either club. His career has literally gone from 4th in L1 showing potential for a promising career ahead of him, to showing no class or loyalty to those who put him there, became a quitter and showed a lack of ambition dropping a level and somehow making his new team worse than before he joined and now sitting 3rd bottom, after spending a lot of cash in the process. Can't see many clubs being that stupid to want to gamble on him now as manager. He has proved himself to be disloyal, a quitter, no ambition and not good with money. Lucky escape for us! He will probably end up being a coach again somewhere and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up further away from his family then Bristol. That would show his 'family reasons' excuse was a load of 5hit.

Oh well. Last night I was disappointed in our result but hearing CG got sacked before I went to bed actually cheered me up. He got what he deserved.

When we didn't sit back, the defence actually looked ok. As soon as we did sat back and invited the pressure, it was too much for our defence to handle and just punted it up front hoping Hanlan would get it which 9 times out of 10 he wasn't able to. But on the rare occasion that he did, he lacked any support and then lost the ball and Hull put the pressure back on. You could see we wouldn't hang on. Maybe against the like of Shrewbury we could hang on. But the likes of the top sides, we are not good enough defensively to hold on. If we play our attacking play, we will be ok and win more often than not because we looked good when we pushed forward as a team. That made Hull worry about us which took the pressure off our defence. I would rather kill the game off than invite pressure on ourselves and hope we hold on.

If he hadn't secured the services of JCH, which was a great bit of business then we probably would have struggled. I never saw a lot of method in his approach, and although he left us in a decent league position I don't think that would have lasted. They way he left was a bit of a disgrace anyway, and I think he'll struggle to get another top job.

Yet again we sat back after we took the lead. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? So blooming frustrating. However, we looked better in the 2nd half. Both teams had the chances to win. But if we didn't sit back, we could have won that.

I agree. We were looking fatigued. All the replays in the cup games were taking their toll and JCH wasn't fit, playing with an injury. Had a few injuries so couldn't really allow regulars to rest for a game. Any manager coming in would have struggled to pick these players up. And that is what BG did. He struggled.

I want to see Koiki but I think its harsh on Leahy. He scores 2 goals and was our top scorer and then gets dropped. Tutonda deserves his spot and as I said I want to see Koiki but harsh on Leahy to miss out all together in the squad.

Hopefully Kilgour is up for this. His chance to keep his place.

Fans never got to say goodbye to JCH. Shame fans not allowed to give him a see off.

Nicholson had a great chance but deflected wide and Posh just had a 1 on 1 but defender back in time to block the shot which looked like was going wide anyway.

We are playing well and thats because we are not sitting back. Posh are the leagues top scorers so they will get chances so not point sitting back and letting them pressure us, may as well go for it.

Kilgour looking very nervous with the ball at his feet trying to play BG's way. Other than that, we are holding our own. Game very even.

We've stepped up a gear. Great run by Westbrooke and shot out the box but blocked. Moments after Nicholson shoots and keeper saved it but the defender was first to the rebound off the keeper and cleared.

Losing 1-0. Harsh on us. We've played well and its very even Stevens. Great goal mind. Thumper in the top corner. Only happened because Kilgour made a mistake and let the Posh player through to assist that cracker goal. We don't deserve to be losing this. Im very happy with hiw we've played.
