Word for Vesty. I love that he’s now beginning to impose himself on games more (which considering his size I always thought he should do). Long may that continue.
He seems to have fully acclimatised to the league and the challenges it provides. He hasn't just looked good recently, he's looked brilliant.
I swear he’s more mobile now. I know his pace off the mark is always going to be a bit ponderous, but he can throw himself around a lot more than he used to. He made one fantastic block in the 6 yard box that he would never have got down to last season. And as you say, his physical presence in attack must be terrifying!
Oh well MOTD over. Off to bed but not without another quick look at the table!! Sweet red & white dreams everybody........
Vitally important scan day.....come on Danny! We have several options for Fridays game against Newcastle but assume we don’t change formation, we have three back up forwards plus possibly Theo, who do we want to see lining up next to Che?
Theo playing off the shoulder of Che is an interesting combination that could work well if Danny is not fit. Always thought Theo through the middle was where he should play rather than as a winger.
Agree with that - I know he still had a good career with Arsenal but I always felt Wenger made a mistake in buying a rapid striker who was brilliant in front of goal and converting him to a winger.
And it’s where he’s always wanted to play If needed, he can do it and even with the best possible good news on Danny I think they’ll want to give him time to recover so he’ll be out Friday
No review from me. Too much amazing and terrible news to dissect. My big takeaway from this game is the line... "He definately appears to have LEANED offside" Faaaark that.
Expected that to be the case as he walked off and remained on the bench to watch the rest of the game - but with his history you can't help but worry! Good time to have the international break to get him fully recovered
First on MOTD...we are now big time Also got most of coverage...despite their late flurry. The stats do show that Villa had a lot of chances (and on target), which I’m taking to mean our defence held strong until the late sag. Nice to hear Saints praised so much...we are a nice team to watch again. And pleased to see JWP showing he’s as good as we all knew he could be. I love Monday’s again.
I had forgotten MotD was still on the TV. I don't watch it these days as I no longer have a TV licence now I have to pay for it and the football's crap anyway. I'll have to watch it on catch up. Does Lineker still chair it? Please don't tell me that arsehole Murphy is on it for all that he'll want to say about us is that Liverpool should sign our best players.
