The Grade 3 novice chase at Cork tomorrow has some nice types lining up in it. None have achieved the level of form of Captain Cj in it though, and he is the bet for me at 5/1. He has a penalty for winning a Grade 2 chase last season, but, I am confident he can carry that burden against these. Home Of The Lee has been really well supported through the evening - into 7/2 favourite, and must be respected for a very gutsy win the last day. I don't think this shorter trip will suit him though, he made plenty of mistakes in a weaker field lto that he can't afford to make them tomorrow.

The Shunter is another who looked good the last day but again against much weaker opposition. The manner of the victory does mean he is open to improvement here, I'm just not convinced he is as good as some here.

Captain Cj will hopefully track close to Polished Steel who will likely make the pace. The pace is key for Captain Cj as he will need a good gallop to have his stamina drawn out over what is not his optimum trip. I feel he just has a touch more class than these and although he is the eldest animal in the race, he is one of the least exposed.

    Captain Cj 5/1- Cork 2.46.

Best of luck to anyone having a go tomorrow.

Truckers Highway 2 22 huntingdon, john groucotts chaser goes well fresh , won in his only visit here before and crucially likes to win ! no guarantee of course , was 16s now 12/1 , won’t be going there for a spin that’s for sure . has a terrific win ratio for a horse of his ability .

Young Ted 4/1 - 2.15. Has been a well regarded horse from an early stage for Noel Meade, but due to some setbacks at certain times hasn't been able to have a good run of things yet. On his comeback run, upped to 24 furlongs he won effortlessly (2nd franked the form since) - his back from reads very well with narrow defeats to My Sister Sarah (141) and Buildmeupbuttercup (143) and if he can reproduce that last run it should be good enough here.

He meets Goodbye Someday who is in right form at the moment and another Fame and Glory horse in Ragnar Lobok, who could well make up into a good staying type in time.

A decent novices hurdle but I'll take the Meade horse to come out on top at a reasonable price I feel.

I m with another poster on here You See...

Carlisle 2.40pm Windsor Avenue 10/1 each way.

Form at track is 112. Ellison has been knocking in a few winners of late and he gets weight from two of his rivals in this. All runners are having their first run of the season and they 've tinkered with his wind. I m surprised he s gone 10/1 and I m predicting a massive run.

    Good luck all!:emoticon-0167-beer:

If I get chance to look through the cards then I'll generally have a bet. During week when I'm at work I'll only have a bet if I get to watch some of it. If I know I've got a busy day on then I'll not even bother looking

In the last two Chases at Huntingdon (15:27 & 15:58) a couple who might run well are Wye Aye (7/2 fav. atm) and Auld Sod (7/1 with Bet365) respectively. Both should be suited by current ground conditions and the distance.

Most always on a Saturday, during the week seldom but it has been known! <whistle> How's the racing in Nairobi? Never been to any of the East African countries, the North and West of the Continent pretty extensively during my working days.

I only ever bet on the Cheltenham festival (long story of online betting with big wins and losses and I found it was just too easy to bet online, very difficult to keep control. Not like handing hard cash over with your slip. Closed all my online accounts 3 years ago)

But if I were betting in the next at Cork I would be e/w on Flemings Dream <ok>
