placheta looks pacey and made some very intelligent runs, but looks a bit greedy for glory currently. If he can learn to look for pukki more they'd be quite a team
Best performance of the season so far. Pukki on fire Krul outstanding Hanley strong Buendia teasing all game MOM Krul
Best performance of the season so far but still looked fragile at times. Ah well, up to 2nd place - can't complain too much I suppose
Radio Norfolk Chris Goreham stated that it was the best performance of the season. Nobody can argue with that.
Three very satisfying points against what on paper, looked probably our sternest challenge of the season so far. Excellent stuff
The only negative (apart from the fragile defence) is that after this performance against a team who tried to take us on, almost every side in this league are going to play 9-0-1 against us (and this season seems to have a larger than normal number of teams who *want* to play 9-0-1 all the time whoever the opponents are).
Stiepermann will deservedly get lots of plaudits for a fantastic first half performance (looked knackered from about minute 50), but let’s give a shout out to Rupp who was absolutely everywhere today. Not everything he tried worked out, but he created lots of space for our midfielders all match.
Great performance and that's 13 points out of the last 15! 19 shots, 8 on target and 3 goals - Farkeball is back! Pukki back on form and great through balls for all of them by Stiepi, Sørensen and Gibson. Jakob looked much more comfortable today and Ben looks to be nicely settled in. Still marvelling at his perfectly weighted long pass to Buendia who finished spectacularly. OTBC!
Two other thoughts: Is Krul the best goalkeeper we’ve had in decades? He definitely pushed that Chris Martin rasping shot onto the post - a wonderful save. And I have no doubt his record played a big part in Wells missing the pen. I was harsh on Sorensen, not really blaming him, but felt he looked obviously out of place at left back. I thought he was excellent today though. Ok, very clumsy for the pen, but otherwise much more solid.
Agree with that and Stiepermann did fade in the second half. I just wish he'd stop trying to play past opposing defenders in dangerous areas. He coughed up the ball at least 3 times and each time it put us under unnecessary pressure. Rupp really is an all rounder and he put in a full shift today.
