Are they gonna use this lockdown to come up with a test that actual tells us if people have COVID? Rather than this farcical PCR test with all its false positives which is presenting a false picture so we actually don't know what the current situation is? I mean it could be a whole lot better than we think (more than likely) or conversely a whole lot worse (kinda of a problem) Are they then gonna actually have a functional track and trace system based on the new accurate testing? Are they then gonna sort out their statisticians and get them record cases and deaths accurately? You know just so we have an accurate picture to make informed decisions, rather double counting cases based on their dodgy test, and recording deaths as COVID which blatantly are not. Are they gonna get back to some decent media reporting rather than fear campaign currently in operation? Are they going to only engage experts without a conflict of interest and divvy up contracts honestly rather than to their mates? Never has there been such a requirement for honesty, transparency and accuracy. Or we just cracking like a bunch of ****wits? The problem is not one of compliance among the people. The problem is when you: Use inaccurate tests Continually lie and move the goalposts Put out confusing messages weekly Seek to profit from the situation with serious conflicts of interest (see contracts handed out during this lockdown, Patrick Vallance holding 600K in shares in the vaccine, yet an adviser) Make mind boggling poor decision like putting untested, some with covid symptoms from the hospitals to the care homes - incompetence that in normal circumstances would result in a full investigation into the loss of life Claim to follow WHO advice, only to change when they no longer like it. Claim to be following scientists advice. But then continually change who is advising them. Run your NHS into the ground for years and then use its lack of preparedness as an excuse Tell everyone to get out and mix, only to rap their knuckles weeks later The list is endless why we are where we are. Sorry but trying to claim this is down to kids going back to school, people not following rules, or any other reason is just hiding from the real problem here. If you want people to comply, give them something to feel confidence in by being organised, accurate and honest. Otherwise reap what you ****ing sow!
All I know is that hospitality is not to blame. Schools and universities are an issue. Sadly main issues are: 1) the government who are more interested in making themselves and their cronies money 2 50% of British inhabitants are me, me, me and **** everyone else. People should not need incentives.
