Is he? I thought Merc ended his contract so that he could drive for Renault as they had a bit of an issue with a contracted Merc driver and conflict of interest?
I would like the Hulk move to Red Bull, that wold make sense provided he throws his weight around and doesn't allow himself to be the tyre alternative strategy that no one would sensibly adopt. I do think Redbull don't know how to use a second car or driver. Perez to Williams makes perfect sense, they want a development driver, that isn't the experience Russell has. Why Russell vs Latifi? Sounds a personality thing. To grow Russell, as team mate to Perez would be good for him. He has had no example to follow in that team. If Lewis wants to be challenged to test himself he will be there in 2022.
Also reports of Russel talking with other teams - so looks like rumors of him not driving for Williams next year may be true. So will it be Hulk to RedBull and Perez to Williams and who get the Haas seats?
There is talk on YouTube of one Haas seat going to a young Russian , and the other to Mick Schumacher . If I can find the link later I will . But who knows !
I think he's good, but I also think his name has given him the best drives, best equipment and best personnel available. Personally I'm hoping Jamie Caroline can get to F1, his dad and my brother have been mates for 30+ years.
Absolute joke isn’t it Bando. It’s funny, the pandemic has forced F1 into a traditional European season at some amazing tracks which the drivers, fans, and journalists all LOVE and yet the numpties who run the show are still chasing stupid money at ****house tracks in very questionable countries. The sport has quite frankly eaten itself. Unless we get this sport permanently at super fast incredible race tracks, it’s as good as over. A Saudi street circuit- no thank you.
The Hypocrisy is unreal . Look at the crap Newcastle fans had to go through when Saudi's wanted to buy their club , but F1 ? Oh yes please . Come on down . Honestly makes me sick . They should never have had Bahrain either IMHO
Vitaly Petrov was due to be the driver representative on the FIA Stewards Panel in Portugal, but had to return home following the (alleged) assassination of his father.
I don't know if I ever mentioned it but I visited Siberia some years back. There is a monument there, in memory of the murder of about 10,000 people (whole families in some instances) shot by the KGB, en route to a labour camp. A post war event, evokes a lot of emotions. I asked how the names were known, if nothing else the KGB kept good records. Putin and his cronies have no regard for life whatsoever, never have. It is not just one or two but thousands. That was an amazing trip, I wrote an article about it for a magazine.
