Don't know an awful lot about Cook and how he sets out his team etc. However he seems to have doen a good job in Div 1 at Wigan. If he was to come in and bring Reidy along with him to help out like he did at Wigan would give the place a massive lift.
Most people weren’t fooled last year and those that were had a quick reality check when Parkinson was appointed. 98% of fans thought he was a bad choice iirc. His post match comments after Rochdale and his pre match comments for Gillingham make worrying reading but aren’t a surprise. The man and those who appointed him are incompetent even at League 1 level. Desperate for new, dynamic owners with the clout and acumen to make the right appointments and decisions. Hoping that next couple of weeks sees the takeover done and this regime consigned to history other than Jones.
No, and nobody with access to staff for an interview will ask how Ball spends his days during the week, doing what? I have some contacts with the academy and junior teams etc, and he is never seen around the place it seems.
I agree with you. I don't think at any point we've been Top of the table, as in 1st and that's no acceptable imo. As for new owners, I'll believe it when it's signed and announced. Far too many good people with positive info posting in good faith have been let down at the final hurdle. I hope there is positive news soon. FTM
Depends what the question is Is he the man to take Sunderland forward ? I think we all know that he probably isn't. Could he be the grenade in the mix between saturday teatime and the next appointment ? Why not
Every time we get within striking distance of top spot, our bunch of bottling bastards get stage fright.
What all day every day? Lol. Sounds like he has a kind of jobs for the boys thing going. Why wasn't his cost saved when the redundancy situation was rolled out.
I've heard through a mate of mine ( ITK ) that Bally has his hands full at the minute, he is busy organising the great Sunderland bake off. Entrants prep their masterpieces, mainly steak and Methven pie. They retreat to a socially distanced tent while they wait on their masterpiece to bake, in the tent you can get pissed and participate in Stewart Donald the cage fighter game on xbox. Keep it quiet though lads.
I agree, I am meaning Parkinson might have us cut off adrift from any chance of automatic promotion, SD is not going to sack Parkinson & appoint a replacement.....i dont think we would want him to, get rid of Parkinson & Bally could stready the ship while the new owners get in position. Ge could also offer a bit info to then as in we need a manager who can lift tempo in games, play however. Parkimsom will just tell the bew owners im yer man & ive got a record of getting a club out this division if you back me....if the did we might be in a worse place if he buys badly
I said at the start of the season to mates that thought we'd go up automatically, my answer was "we haven't got the stones". It was mentioned on here the other day "win our game in hand", I though doubt it. But still FTM
The season we got an point away to Barnsley (0-0 I think it was, quite near the end of the season), They were in second place, I think we were 2 points behind them, with a game in hand. A draw was a cracking result. For the very first time in my supporting life I actually had the audacity, the ****ing cheek, to even remotely think that we are gonna get promoted here.......we blew it.
