Is there any evidence though that's the thing.. Just because they gejd meetings about project big picture doesn't prove anything whatsoever as to whether they let them influence their actions around the owners and directors test.
For me I'd suggest that its probable cause. If they were forced to hand over all records for discussions on these matters in the last 12 months I'm sure they'd be some interesting stuff.
Buying the club for £200m. Will tell me they have enough, but like newcastle they are not a fashionable location so will struggle to attract/keep decent players
Why would that be an issue? There's no glitch involved. This isn't some weird conspiracy against newcastle it's just the wealth of the owners that happened to be coming in. If they chose Burnley or any other of he 14 other prem clubs they'd have done the same.
That’s my point mate: they won’t feel threatened by their takeover because they don’t have the financial clout. PIF did and the PL elite didn’t like it.
Exactly that's why Burnley will sail through... No concern and they'll even say " see we don't stand on the way if they provide the info we asked for"
Exactly. But having said that the guy leading it has already been stopped from being an owner. Masters should have just let it go through with sanctions: he’s proper ****ed up and he’s messed with the wrong people. Honestly think this next half season will be defining not just for nufc but for the whole PL.
if this is right and the takeover goes through to the PIF consortium I’ll get you 2 pints and the next 3 people to comment that Groot and Obi suck each other’s balls a pint too.
The Cheshire-based lawyer was handed a ban after issues arose during an attempt to buy Charlton earlier this year. So not even a PL club and he was imposed with a ban. It was overturned. But subsequently the takeover didn’t go ahead.
