What would we pay for someone like, Macca , Hill, Derry....someone that can lead. Hope MW can find that person.
I guess if he does go, who would want to come in? (personally, I think he should stay)

Overall I think Warburton did well last season building a decent team who got us to 13th after was it 15 or 16 changes the summer before, on a very limited budget from a team finishing 16th/17th the seasons before that. A very good job. This season, due the financial situation we have lost the best attacking players from last season. Eze in particular looks a huge loss from our midfield linking and attacking play, then Hugill, Wells, Pugh, Manning have gone, and maybe now BOS from our attacking options. We have low budget replacements and not surprisingly we are struggling. Warburton has a huge job on his hands keeping us in this Division, but for all the surprise formations and recent collapses, after what he managed last season I dont think we should be getting rid of him just yet.

Other teams will know we give away stupid penalties and will be looking to capitalise. I do agree bringing back someone like Derry or Hill would be good for the team.

It's the morning after the night before and I have calmed down and even developed a more balanced view of the match.

    1. We were little short of brilliant for the first 20 minutes. That's how I want us to play (preferably for 90 minutes).

    2. Dickie looks like being one of our best summer signings but it was a needless penalty to concede because the attacker had lost the ball to Dieng. And, it was doubly stupid because with 10 men we were never going to get back into the game. He needs a quiet word in his shell-like about this particular bad habit.

    3. The second goal went through two sets of legs before squeezing past Dieng. What's the odds on that happening? The third goal was a fluke. Nevertheless, Barnsley did spurn a number of other good chances to make it even more embarrassing and anyone who ignores that is having a selective memory loss.

    4. Like everyone else, I'm very worried about not scoring for 4 games but we lost Hugill, Wells, Eze and Manning over the last few months which ripped much of the creativity and goal scoring experience out of the team.

    5. Despite his ill-judged comments about keyboard warriors, I can't agree with anyone who suggests Warburton should be sacked. Playing musical chairs with managers has worked well over the last decade or so, hasn't it?

    6. Whilst I was disappointed with the performance of a couple of players (Bonne, Carroll), I did feel that, generally, a lot of effort went into overcoming our numerical disadvantage. However, our game did become increasingly ragged with too many poor passes and too much hoof ball. Of course, it's difficult to keep your composure when you're outmanned but, personally, I am a fan of Warburton's developing style of patient football (but only when we when we play a higher percentage of short, sharp passes going forward to men - in hoops - running into space).

As much as it hurts, I think many of us need to breathe deeply and regain a sense of perspective.

Some fair points in this Rodney. I think what compounds the misery for us is the fact Reading are currently top of the table after being stuck in mid table mediocrity like us. I personally think they'll hit a skid and drop off, but their fans must be delighted at present.

The cold hard facts are that its our worst start to a Championship season since 2007, and we've only won 3 out of 18 competitive matches behind closed doors. It gets to a point where you have to question whether the players are really playing for Warbs. I can't imagine his stance on contracts, the Manning and BOS treatment has gone down unanimously well with the players either. We just don't look like a real team at the moment.

Reading had survived relegation 4 seasons on the trot... (actually the late missed pen at their ground under Holloway would have finished them off that season) They actually had some caviat on them because of their debts and breaking FFP rules but somehow bypassed these rules and spent on a few players. It maybe a gamble but it seems to be working for them. No I don't want us to be like that and I would always say don't live beyond our means.
Something is not right at QPR and it needs to be addressed.

They 'sold' their stadium to themselves and have an astronomical wage bill, if they don't go up this season that 'house of cards' comes tumbling down.

You can't sell your best, replace them with inferior and sick notes and make progress. Long hard road ahead unless a spectacular free agent materialises from nowhere...

I don't wish any club troubles but if they have been dodgy then I hope they get found out. Seriously I read an article not no ago mentioning Reading and debt and how the had to follow FFP rules and couldn't spend. Month later they were spending like a Prem team?
