It was very risky policy of a triple substitution on 60 minutes my heart was in my mouth when Ingram and Jordy collided in the goalmouth and both look crocked we could have been down to 9 men with no goalie for the last 15 minutes.
Yep, such a troll I openly defended certain players after the game and admitted that McCann got it right last night. **** off mate. You accuse others of not making debate and then resort to insults yourself.
Because, in my case, after the second half of last season he has not yet earnt my support again It's going to take more than a few games but he will get my unequivocal backing as soon as I see he's capable of coaching City back to a higher level again.
We're second in the league, one point of the top and only 2 teams with a better goal difference then us ( 1 goal better ). We have been outplayed once and rightly took a beating and in our other loss missed a hat full of chances and lost because of a goal against the run of play which came from 2 errors. What exactly do some on here want? Bar grant going, which isn't going to happen! At what point do the obvious posters on here actually get behind the team and drop the whole we are still **** under grant line... If we are second on Jan 1st will they still be the same? What about second after the final game off the season? Will they be happy then? Or will the ones of us who backed the team still be called as happy clappers? Its almost like some actually want the club/team/manager/players to fail, just so they can smugly sit behind their keyboard and say "I told you so". We will lose more games this season, we will play badly again this season, grant will probably make wrong subs at the wrong time again this season. But on the evidence presented so far, it's more likely we will be in the mix at the top end of the league as apposed to the bottom of the league as some claimed was almost nailed on!
Only on here could being second in the league after coming from behind to win 3-1 still result in arguments.
Must say I still think that if we played Eaves for the next 37 games he would score far more than Magennis would. I know there are arguments about Magennis creating goals for others and helping out a bit more defensively (maybe not last night!) but just feel that the best of Eaves is better than the best of Magennis and the challenge is just to get it out of him more consistently. Every time he scores I wonder if THIS might unleash the avalanche of goals but do feel he needs a run of 3-4 games to have a chance. He's rarely had more than 2 games in a row I suspect.
I'm still puzzled by this "get behind the team and support the lads" business. No one can do that, because no one can go to games at the moment. I'm reliably informed that the players don't read this forum anyway. We're doing very well indeed, without anyone getting behind the lads, so it's just nonsense.
I am happy to be proved wrong by McCans results, Id guessed we'd be mid table after 10 games, but points make prizes as 'they' say. I also never want to see City lose regardless of manager or ownership. For some, me included the capitulation last season after Xmas and being in a very safe league position (after the enforced sale of 2 players) to the point of relegation was inexcusable and still questionable in his defiant admission that things were going wrong and an apparent inflexibility to change things on the pitch / formation etc. This is probably not helped by his interviews in the press / dour personality (I remember finding Atkins to positive atone point, though Pearson comedic with his disdain for the media, yep makes no sense) So overall results will help, he maybe learns to connect better with (some) fans, as many of us still remember that old song... **** off Terry D you took us to division 3, your a **** football manager... A long way to go, but a much better start than I could have imagined and it's a fans forum who have many differing opinions, how boring would it be if we all agreed all of the time, let alone some of the time
It's not for me or any one else to criticise differing opinion. But when that opinion is the constant berating of tactics, manager and name calling before a ball's been kicked, then something's clearly wrong in my eyes!!!
Got some time off work now due to Covid self isolation regulations . The way I see it. Car crash last season...hurt like hell but we move on. As far as McCann goes you either rate the **** or you don’t but more importantly those who pull the strings and in charge thought better and he’s still at the helm. After yet another away win we’re now currently second in a league where it seems you don’t have to be Brazil to do well. We won’t win every game, certain individuals won’t get picked some will miss sitters whilst others will have absolute blinders bla bla...that’s football lads. Point is,come next April few will remember incidents or individuals because in the end everyone will get judged on results..err right? Stay safe everyone.
It certainly isn't better. Just facing weaker sides. As I've said many times, the fact we took so long to concede was nothing short of a miracle, and when we did concede it showed just how easy we are to pull apart.
It’s not a matter of blindly agreeing though is it? The issues at hand are that the manager is constantly in the wrong with some people, even when we are winning. And while that’s a valid opinion, saying it over and over and over and over again in increasingly ludicrous circumstances is just, well, boring. We have started a lot better than I thought too, and credit must go to the manager for that, if the converse is true and he is to take the blame for the last 20 games of last season. That’s my view anyway.
If anyone should require evidence that its not over until its over, then perhaps last night could be an example. Yes, I was spitting feathers at 7.02pm, but dancing around the man cave at 9.02pm
Of course and I respect everyones opinion. As with anything in life, no matter what the circumstances, you have opinions, some youre prepared to change and some not. For me, the damage was done last last year, even allowing for Bowen and Grosicki leaving it was down to motivation. If you can't motivate people to keep their salary at 100% instead of 50% then youre not doing your job. He and again for me is the most uninspiring of people who wont even hold his hands up when it goes wrong.
