The other 14 clubs should set up a new domestic league, welcome 6 from the championship and go head to head with them.
Nothing but his parting shot. Backing the idea of joining an imaginary league sums up his tenure tbh.
Be interesting to see what actually plays out now legal teams are involved. I can’t help but wonder that if it does in fact uncover a lot of underhand activity and it not only involves the PL but also other PL (top six) clubs that is going to go down like a lead balloon. We won’t be invited to future parties that’s for sure.
https://www.themag.co.uk/2020/10/ri...-premier-league-revelations-newcastle-united/ The guardian claims!!!!! Wtf???
As the report points out, when The Telegraph exposed the Big Picture power grab plans led by Liverpool and Man Utd, the Premier League released a statement saying it had “seen media reports” about the plans, and condemned them, saying “a number of the individual proposals … could have a damaging impact on the whole game”…yet behind the scenes, both Richard Masters and Gary Hoffman knew all about the plans before that exclusive by The Telegraph.
These two guys are being exposed... I think even fans that were laughing at Newcastle fans when they were making such claims are beginning to figure it out tbh.. The problem was that at the time they were so relieved that nufcs takeover had fallen apart that they didn't want to listen or care why and how it failed. Now they think it's dead in the water they're happier to listen
I'd say most fans of the so called top 6 wouldn't give a **** about the other 14 teams as it becomes increasingly obvious a lot of the power grabbing is nearly over the line!
Of course not in football everyone pat you on the back, but if you threaten their positions they'll destroy you
This fan lead case is like pissing into the wind isn't it? It's Ashley's case that'll count .. These guys should've just kept out of it imo
It's still bad press and public attention they don't want, as well as the distraction of a potential court case - while Ashley & co prepare their case.
It’s a complete waste of time and money is what it is mate. Ashley pursuing a case is his prerogative as he was affected by the process. A fans group threatening court action over supposed anti competitive behaviour when they had no direct involvement in the process and no legitimate rights to damages is completely nonsensical imo. If their case ever makes it to an actual courtroom I’ll be absolutely astounded.
