That defensive header off the line by Kane though

once the ball went over his head he anticipated what may come...swivelled away from his man and got on the line to make the clearance

    impressive reading of the game

They also did an article about the "horrific elbow" on Alderweireld.
Wasn't that bad, though I'm surprised Barnes didn't get any sort of card for it, especially after it drew blood.
That shouldn't be a factor, of course, but it definitely is with a lot of refs.

I know it wasn't our best performance, but these highlights look terrible for us! <laugh>

I can't believe I've just watched it after having sat through 90 mins of it the other night, swear I must be a sucker for punishment.

It was a terrible performance I said that at the time and stand by that. We got lucky or you could look at it that we had a world class player who won the game for us.
It’s small margins, we could easily be top of the league right now but we also could easily be 12th and the pressure really would be on mourinho, more than it already is anyway.

Yeah I said the other day that was the most AVB game you could get, this time Kane and not Bale was the hero (at both ends!).

Been a crazy start to the season, some managers are already under pressure and I doubt it'll be too long before we get the first sacking. Annoyingly our **** ups at home have cost us the chance to go top and I've already said these sort of results will haunt us at the end of the season, they generally always do.
All in all though I think we're on the right track, I don't like our CBs plus one or two others that I don't mention too much (<whistle>) but I think there's enough quality elsewhere for us to have a good season, whether that'll be good enough to able to keep Kane beyond this year remains to be seen, really do worry that another potless season and he may feel the need to push on in search of trophies, it's criminal someone as good as him doesn't have a medal to his name.

Tbh apart from that one chance everything else was long range and very saveable for Lloris.
Weren't a great performance but was good defensively and that's what gave us the platform to win so...
    1. I'll take it
    2. You're making me look cheerful <laugh>
