We went through this a few weeks ago after i wrote a thread about him, but I really dont see what the benefit is of leaving a player like him out but still lining his bank account every week with a lucrative wage. If we could have got him off the wage bill and replaced him then fair enough. We havent though so by keeping him away from the first team is just cutting our noses off to spite our face imo.

I believe the negative reports about him being a negative influence, we know that Parky is conservative and I don't believe he would have reacted as firmly as he did with McGeady without good reason.

Added to which he was crap for quite a while before he got ditched, every game was The McGeady Show but there was no end product. I wouldn't have him back.

    Ridiculous he isn;t involved

No offence to our fans, but it was outrageous how quickly some turned on him, easily our best player, carried the side at times that 1st year, then Parky doesnt like him, and heis suddenly a trouble maker, rotten etc

    fans are so fickle

Problem with that is that long before any allegations came out lots of us were saying he should be dropped. Yes he was brilliant for us for a spell, then it just wasn't working and he wasn't getting any younger, or thinner.

    Dropped for who?

    George Dobson, Max Power?

he is the best player have by an absolute country mile and he should be playing

The reason he isn't is we have a dinosaur manager, who just was "solid pros" who pass the ball backwards and sideways 5 yards

Morgan was just bitter anyway. Geady and Morgan our two left wingers for the season. Morgan plays and he's ****e, play down the left constantly breaks down so we became one dimensional and predictable by relying on Gooch on the right. Overall team performance with Morgan in the side a load of ****e.

When Geads starts the left side comes to life. our wing play becomes a two prong route of attack, the team looks balanced and the side have some width to utilise, Geads brings consistencey as well as regular moments of magic and the side looks better when he plays producing our best football in the season. Such is the bad influence he is on the sde

Geads didn't really need say out back really. Morgan is just delusional

Maguire and Gooch are the two wingers I'd be playing. At the time I think Gooch was bang out of form but McGeady was dragging the team down so badly that anyone would have been better.

"He [McGeady] is ruthless, I've never seen anyone that ruthless. He'd come in - and I think we'd drew with Burton or something - and he came into the changing room and said 'yous can't play in front of that? Burton Albion? Wednesday night? One each? Yous will never play any higher than this.'

thats a BETTER BOLLOCKING THAN MOST MANAGERS GIVE AND I AM 100% Behind that, those facts never came out and if they did then very few would have supported Parky, now i can understand why McGeady was so upset with them, as they were exactly the same today ...not all but 70% of the squad

**** site that mind just sticks, anyway Mceady is being missed and certainly now as this lot are rubbish, we go backwards again and we need Kimpioka, well the present team will get him sacked before long and they will be brought in finally. That defending is appalling.

If that's how it actually was. Worth remembering that this is a player who'd been frozen out and is probably looking for a new club.

Although it's only been two games I genuinely think PP has lost the dressing room.
Reports that two midfielders wouldn't be in last night and we see Scowen and Leadbitter benched, he's playing players out of position when we've got others capable and not picked and his subs are head scratching, Wyke whatever fans think has scored regularly this season, take him off and continue firing crosses into the box which Graham has no chance of getting.
McGuire seems to have lost interest last two games but he has that ability to get a goal out of very little so take him off and put a midfielder on whose never scored and I could go on but I'm sure you get my drift.
players have stopped trying for him our midfield are not tracking back like they were earlier in the season and I really think PPs time could be limited IF we had a club owner who actually gave a sh1te.

Completely disagree tbf. Look at Hume -he's become twice the player he was since McGeady has been out of the squad. As soon as McGeady got the ball, any overlapping runs were ignored, any direct play or pace in the attacking move ended.

The lad has bundles of talent and skill, but lacked any desire to do the best thing for the team.

100% this. Didn't take long for teams to cotton that we'd pass to McGeady, he'd cut inside and try to beat 3 men and shoot. Simple solution for opposing managers.. put 4 men between him and the goal

I understand but in this specific instant, I'd also agree with McGeady if Morgan's version of events was true too.
