Jesus, 23 years ago. What the **** has that got to do with the increasing number of kids starving TODAY ? You'll be telling us "we got through two world wars, we'll get through this" next.

 

I was brought up in the back streets of Leeds, my father went off with another woman when our kid & I were both under two years old. Mum remarried three years later, both my parents were in nursing, mum was a hard-working determined woman, academically poor at school however went on to be a sister in Jimmy's & Leeds Infirmary prior to working in midwifery. Unfortunately she received no financial maintenance from my absent father & child benefit was unheard of in the 50's & 60's. After saying all that our kid (my brother) & I never went without food on the table from breakfast to supper time.

Parents are far better off these days so why are they incapable of providing for the children?

I really feel for 1000's of kids in the UK What a horrible irresponsible society we live in nowadays

Heartwarming to hear footballers/club supporting kids financially in desperate needs, shouldn't have to be their responsibilty though

23 years ago Labour got into power with the famous Education, Education, Education rallying call, when in reality it should had been Feed the kids well,Feed the kids well, feed the kids well, because 23 years later the education system are churning out record numbers of thick ****s who can't work out that Children's allowances are designed to feed the kids and not their alcohol/drug habits.
Those claiming child allowance need to be taught how to cook rather than rely on takeaways and microwave dinners.

Send Jamie PUKKA Oliver around to teach them how to get 7 meals a week for under a fiver.

 

Don't talk to me about that patronising arsehole Shaks, he got all mouthy publicly shaming Rotherham parents for feeding kids chips and fast food instead of a nutritious meal but never said a word about probably the same kids being groomed by nonces.

 

I just can't believe that in 2020 there are kids in Britain that go without a meal and if there are, then it has to be because they are living with parents who are spending the money on drink or doing drugs and therefore the powers that be should be removing them from that situation.
