THE DARLEY LAMA 7/2 Chepstow 4:00 Short enough price to be taking about a ten raced maiden but this one needs backing first time up for his new yard. They have just about had him long enough to work their magic and for good measure are legging up the yards very tidy 7lb claimer. Anyone who snaffled up the early 11/2 will be thinking Xmas has come early.
Pfft. A Book Of Intrigue in that race is very interesting. He was due to run in the Stratford race that Project Mars ran in (Cold Shoulder who runs here was also a non runner in the same race), and was heavily punted before being a non runner. He used to be trained by Fergal and was "one of the best horses we had" at that the time. He is only rated 100 after some novice hurdles on heavy ground. The better ground here is a positive and he is one of a few in here that could be very well handicapped, and at 14/1 I think he is a really intriguing runner in the race.
