Bit of a nothing player isn't he? Doesn't really do anything other than pass it back to the centre backs or give it away

He is the definition of a squad player. He will start games and he will fill in, in multiple positions. Useful player to have in the squad.
He's not been signed as a star. He's useful and doesn't **** up. All round midfielder too, he's just boring and safe. Which is good for us. Hayden gives away reckless free kicks and Jonjo game watches too often.
I like him mate. Some are too critical of quiet lads. But benny is weak to an explosive talent so I get it
I didn't expect him to set the world alight, but passing the ball forwards now and again would be nice, as would winning the odd 50/50
This is part of the problem and you have to ask why they are covering the ground. It’s because we are always chasing the play as opposed to dictating play. I also find it odd that as we don’t press the ground covered is so high. Makes me think players are out of position a lot.
Decent squad option. If it was him or Shelvey I'd pick him other than if we are playing defensive counter. He's just a good solid pro. You need a few of them in the squad.
Hendrick does what's asked of him. Many quiet players like him sort of adapt to the level of the players around him, if he was tracking play, disrupting and then laying it sideways to De Bruyn 10 every few minutes he'd be getting plaudits and constantly described as an "unsung hero". His main job is to do the nitty gritty and yet he's already scored and assisted and I suspect his performance in the first game set the bar too high. He's mid-table Premiership standard, that's good enough for us.
