Saw him once at St Helen where he was fronting a BBC transmission of one of the early limited over games. I remember he was wearing a bright, gaudy blazer. Funny how these things stick on the memory. RIP
Now that is sad. ,having a family member being released from an Academy and thankfully coming through the experience thus far unscathed I can understand how much an impact it can be , being rejected must be a hell of a feeling and at that age when kids are still effectively dreaming of making it to the big time more so . dreadful for him and his family RIP Jeremy
Some may remember him but RIP Mr Goldstone https://www.swanseacity.com/news/swansea-city-saddened-passing-former-chairman-david-goldstone and little bit of background to his story https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/david-goldstone-story-terraced-street-8386722
Last time I saw him was in Patrick’s in Mumbles (2006 or 2007) - he was having dinner with Sian Lloyd. RIP
He was a lovely guy. Was a local councillor here in Bryncoch and, for a time, he delivered parcels for Next! Can’t imagine Tony Blackburn doing that .....
That’s a shock.... My late brother in law (Dave) was friendly with JJ’s older brother Peter. I remember Dave telling me that when JJ was a baby, he was holding him and he peed all over Dave! RIP JJ
