To the few scruffy sad Mackem Bastards who think we've been lucky....

  1. I've seen a quite a few comments from different users on the Sunderland board saying we've been lucky this season... and I've heard the word "again" used a quite a few times also, to imply it's definitely not the first time they think we've been lucky.

Just remember that you got away with that **** Seb Larsson handling the ball on the line in the derby. We should have had a pen and Larsson sent off, and i guarantee if that had happened, it would have been a damn site worse than a 0-1 defeat for you. And also, in the last derby at your **** hole of a ground, you got that last second flukey equalizer.

And also, that **** Cattermole, how many red cards has he escaped so far this season?

He committed far more than one bookable offense against us in the derby, and he should have received a 2nd yellow card in your game vs WBA. He's a ****e player, and ****ing dirty ****, but i guess he's at the right club for him. Ugly smoggy ****.

So shut the **** up about luck.

If you look closely at the footage, Wolves goal was rightly disallowed because the ball looks like it actually did cross the line, and even if unsure, he still can't give the ****ing goal, because it would be like giving a penalty you're not sure about, and giving a goal you're not sure has crossed the goal line also.

We were lucky to get away with the penalty incident, but it's stupid to assume that a pen = instant goal, as more penalties have been saved, not scored, so far this season.

We were so unlucky many times last season, we conceded like 7 deflected goals, had so many stone wall penalties turned down. It's nice to see we be on the end of a lucky decision for once!!!!

P.S. This is not a Mackem free article.....

Don't encourage him, some of his threads are as long as novels anyway.

I have just seen the long range weather forecast for the North East.

In Newcastle there are going to be extended intervals of bright sunshine, made even brighter every time Cabaye smiles. These will be punctuated by calm spells and the city will experience a generally warm glow.

Over in Sunderland however, they are forecasting a dull, grim winter, almost as if they are living in a giant shadow. On alternate weekends they will experience raining turds, this is due to the shower of **** that play at the SOL.<laugh>

I'm loving the 'riding our luck' schtick that's being wheeled out.

I admit that by the end of the Wolves game, we were lucky to get the win, but what the last 5 minutes has done is detract from the fact that, once again, we were excellent in possession for the majority of the game and solid at the back.

A few too many last ditch blocks, but the fact that they were made, well that's good defending not luck.

Lawrenson mentioned our 'luck would turn soon' in his predictions.

    Which games were we lucky??

Arsenal? They dominated possession but never threatened. We looked like a new team that needed to gel.

Mackems? They had the better of the first 30 mins but couldn't create any clear-cut chances. We bossed it after half time.

Fulham? Scrappy first half, then bossed it.

Villa? We should have won. If luck had come into that we'd have won by 2 or 3.

Blackburn? Maybe (maybe) a foul for our third goal. But the fact that it was our THIRD goal speaks volumes. Bossed it.

Brings us to QPR. Ok, they dominated the midfield and created plenty chances. But Krul didn't have a save to make.

Other than Saturday, that's the only game that we could be considered to have been lucky.

  19. The QPR game we were 2nd best simple as, they had their chances but our defense saved us. That's not what i call luck, that's what i call having a good ****ing defense!

    Exactly.

When they had chances, we put their strikers undo ****loads of pressure forcing them to miss. Same with Wolves.
