Nah. He’s been pretty solid at the back. I know he’s always prone to the odd calamitous moment. But he’s first choice pairing with Gabriel at CB for me.
Leno was giving me a heart attack last night. It was like watching an ageing Cech trying to play the ball out from the back. Martinez did that really well, but Leno is still a fine keeper, sometimes though he just needs to go long. Partey was brilliant. You can see just by watching him how easy the game comes to him. He’s one of those players who sees the game 1 or 2 steps ahead of what’s going to happen, so he’s always in the right place. Plus he’s a skilful player on the ball. We’ve bagged a proper class midfielder there who looks every bit worth his £45m

Ugh frustrating half. Didnt play bad at all - 11 attempts in one half against a good Leceister side but... we just lack sharpness up top. Laca hasnt looked truely sharp in at least 18 months, Aubas a bit short of form and Sakas having an off day. Too bad Martinelli isnt fit yet - cant see Pepe making the difference.
Not so fussed about the results but the football has suddenly become very dour and Emery like compared to last season. Wtf is going on? Only against Fulham were we half decent. The rest we've been insipid.
That was **** and as soon as Vardy came on you new he would score. overall a very poor performance but some really bad ones to mention: Lacasette - what did he actually do Auba is wasted on the wing and the game passes him by. Xhaka - only passes back/sidewards and is too slow. Can’t see why he keeps getting picked ahead of Nelson/Willock Mustafi watched Vardy run in to the box, didn’t even try to get back we have no one in this side prepared to run at a defence or make a defence splitting pass, so until we get someone in the squad who can do either then we will struggle to score and that why we are near the bottom of shots or chances made.
Do we have any decent attackers at the moment ? They need to realise it's goals that win games. Just hope Auba hasn't gone into comfort mode now he's got his new big fat contract, like Ozil.did. Is Pepe ever worth the money we paid for him ?
Really poor last night. No urgency, lack of ideas, slow sideways and backwards. Every time we had the ball we just allowed Leicester to regroup and put 11 men behind the ball. Why aubameyang was played out on the right I have no idea. He was anonymous out there. Thought Saka did okay, Lacazette worked hard without any end product. But for me the midfield should be moving the ball into the forwards so much quicker. Xhaka and ceballos were woeful last night. Constantly slowing in the game down. Players like Aubameyang, Pepe thrive on balls in behind and we just let them face a blue wall because we had no urgency at all. You could see that Vardy goal coming from the moment he came on. It was so predictable. It was just like the bad old Arsenal of the Emery days, dominating possession and then getting hit with a sucker punch Arteta needs to address this quickly, because we’re not scoring goals. Despite having a very good attacking line up. I think he’s trying to make us more composed and to be able to manage games, but it lacks flair and incisiveness and we run the danger of becoming very predictable to play against.
To answer this question: yes we do have quite decent attackers at this club. Pepe, Laca, Auba, Saka are all great attacking players. For me, Arteta has changed something about our attacking output - and its not longer producing. Whether thats because of our midfield, or a more overall defensive mentality etc im not sure. He needs to figure this out. On the whole, its been a longggg time since I can remember us 'dominating' a game, looking like we are going to win 3 or 4 nil.
