We were strong at the back with Flanagan and he should have played, in his natural position, not O’Nien. Got what we deserved, Gooch is never a wing back, he has no interest in being in our half and little impact in theirs. Parkinson has brought in a drab, one dimensional, squad in his mould. There was a point at 2-1 down today and their bloke was getting treatment for a head wound. Even the commentator says time for the lads to regroup and get some instructions from Parkinson as we were being overrun. He ****ing stood there with his hands in his pockets and said **** all as they all took swigs of water.
We are a decent league one side really. Decent league one manager, players and ambition. If we are lucky we may get playoffs
Hope so. Well onien can’t play at all Tuesday. Think he’ll be a massive miss. Do you think Marco Gabbiadini would’ve fallen over for that penalty? I think he’d have tried to score rather than being desperate to fall over!
It's always going to be tough when we make mistakes that lead to goals. Too many stupid cross field balls that get cut out easilly. Same old story year in year out against the better sides until we learn to beat these teams we will not be going anywhere soon.
Can't disagree that they were better on the day but annoyed that they didn't have to be very good to win. Think we were our own worst enemy. Firstly team selection They are always a very direct team with two up top so to go with O'nein and Gouch left us far too open But then most worrying so many of our players individually were awful Gooch, Maguire, Willis had poor games. Power and Scowen went AWOL the whole game Wyke wasnt great but for once was far from our worse player. Bounce back is crucial starting on Tuesday
Mmm In order of badness Second goal - midfielder took ball from own defender then gave it away! Bad score 10 First goal - back three all over the place and wingbacks not reading play. Bad score 7 Third goal - caught out and penalty duly bought. Bad score 5
This is a bad league. The trick to going up this year will be not having a prolonged bad spell like we have had in each of the last two years. ****e defeat today but three points on Tuesday and we’ll all be feeling much better.
Funny you say that. It’s the first time Portsmouth have played well all season according to a number of their fans. They’ve apparently been really poor performance wise. But lift their game against Sunderland. How many times does that happen? We need to find a way of getting past it!
