Tuesday nights visitors Stoke get a 3-2 win over Brentford so they have 2 wins and 2 draws from their last 4.

A point gained on the road yes but if we took our chances we would win as long as the ref was not so poor...but still

Steve Cooper felt Swansea City were denied an away win at Bristol City by a penalty which should not have been given.

Swansea were on course for victory until Nahki Wells' 83rd-minute spot-kick cancelled out Jamal Lowe's goal.

Referee Oliver Langford deemed that Connor Roberts had brought down Antoine Semenyo and the game finished 1-1.

"For a decision to be made like that - it's hard to keep my mouth shut to be honest," Cooper said.

"We had talked about this referee in the pre-match build-up. And it was true to form.

"This league is so hard to get points in, so to be on the back end of a decision like that when we were so comfortable in the game is a difficult one to take to be honest."

Swansea felt Robins forward Semenyo tumbled over Roberts after the Wales international slipped as he tried to deal with Chris Brunt's floated free-kick.

Cooper's side had gone ahead through Lowe's 51st-minute goal and there was little sign of an equaliser until West Midlands official Langford awarded the penalty.

"You are allowed videos now on the bench so we are seeing it back straight away, hence we were so incensed on the decision," Cooper said.

"There's nothing you can do. I have tried to go and see the referee and he won't see me. I don't know why."

It's pretty poor that the ref won't see a manager after a game

The Bristol manager's view not that it helps

I’ve watched it [the penalty] back and if I’m being honest, I don’t think it’s a penalty. I think the boy has fallen over and caught Antoine – whether he’s meant to catch him I don’t know – but we should have had a stonewall penalty on Tuesday night [against Middlesbrough] and these things even themselves out.

What's to be gained by seeing him ? They don't change their minds during the game, let alone after. Disputed penalties are the bane of the game, always have been, always will be.

Thinking that one goal is enough, and just defending for the last part of the game is just not good enough, especially when the Ref can give dodgy penalties against you. ...... must find a way to score more goals, not easy when you are not allowed to spend money , only borrow players.. .... We also need a creative player.

Victor you could see the freekicks and bookings against us rising some justifiable and some questionable , Connor didn't help himself a couple of times previous to the incident in the box so maybe the ref had had enough ?

I haven't seen any highlights but it sounds from you lot like a combination of shouldn't have been a pen and Cooper's inability to manage a game (again). Oh well, not losing is good for confidence at least and maybe something to prove in the next game might yield a bit of fight.
