That was a shame. Had to be Kelly involved too. Actually did better once the subs came on but only takes one moment from a set play.
Fair result I suppose, good test for us and we stood up to it especially defensively, which was probably our best defensive performance. Excellent game to watch. Until Tuesday then.
We were our own worst enemies really - spent most of that half inviting pressure with wild clearances from defence that gave the ball back to them. Still think there should be a Royal Commission enquiry into that ref though - he was atrocious.
I think Bournemouth deserved a point tbh but they also could have had 2 sent off. Always seems to be so feisty and contentious against them! Shame as I thought the subs did quite well almost seeing out the game. We actually started to attack better.
I wonder if Championship referees have a red card quota and ours wasn't allowed to issue any today? A few others seemed to manage it...
True - and looking at our next five fixtures, there's no reason to suspect that we'll lose any more ground either. 15 points there for the taking...
Where to begin Ref was the worst for a long long time, watching on sky and Bournemouth should have had at least two sent off Their keeper kept them in the game tho, made a few saves when we were on top not sure if it was him or the ref who did more to earn them a point Ben had a good game apart from their goal Reading will not keep that run going for ever we have to make sure we can pounce when the opportunity arrises If we average two points a game for the season we will be on 96 points, more likely than Reading winning every game I wish we were playing 4 - 3 - 3 would give us more chance to score and keep defences tied down
A spot of honesty from a B'mouth fan? "I love our games against Watford. We should have had at least 2 players sent off and we ****housed a draw in the 96th minute when we arguably fouled Ben Foster. I thoroughly enjoyed that."
I think most of their fans and even the manager admitted they got lucky. The goal was lucky too - Foster did well to punch the ball away but 2 of our defenders went back on the line meaning the Bournemouth scorer was onside. Of course all set up by Kelly !
Sloppy defending though - I'm sure VI will have torn into someone over it. The guy who scored probably couldn't believe his luck when Ben's punched clearance came straight to him, standing completely unmarked in the penalty box, surrounded by space.

There were three teams out there: He Good, The Bad, and The Ugly... Lord knows why I didn't think of that during the match!
