I cant help think he will regret this move in later years as he has lost all credibility to play for one of the big boys of Europe now. I reckon another decent year and 15 goals this term and he would have moved to a really big player in Europe or England. He's far too good a player to have moved there even for 200k per week.

In a football career, he was always going to earn a fortune but in his 30's he will have to look back at his time playing infront of 1000 people in a totally embarassing league as a complete waste of his life.

Would any of the big lads sign him now? They need big game players not sunday morning league ones and his game will be effected badly in that non-competitive atmosphere.

What a waste. I think he could have been a legend here even if only for 2 seasons.

1000 people Cest are 4 teams playing on the same pitch? the average is 300 mate totally knacked any credibility he had in football. However there will be some teams that will take a risk on him somehwhere, hear the Greenland PL is not short of a bob or two.

Yer right Turnip, Al Ain's biggest home crowd last season was 278 in a season where they narrowly avoided relegation

Was getting ready to fly home from Abu dhabi saturday night and had the game on in the hotel (couldnt find a bar with the sunderland game on ), he looked as interested there as he did here. The league over there is struggling to attract the supporters. Lucas Neil even looked good the other day in a game i watched ffs! Even maradonna has gone there to coach one of the sides.

Heard the same about Greenland PL - although also heard rumours that Saint Nicholas is pulling out his financing of the league and his business partner Kris Kringle is doing the same so they'll be skint soon
