I was worried about MK and my fears turned out to be correct, I feel this game is a lot more winnable if we turn-up this time. It is starting to look like SE has a style of play and doesn't change it around if it is not working, Defenders normally come tall, tough, and good with their head, our attacking style is long high balls, long throws, high crosses in from the wings, all perfect for the average defender. With the likes of Akinde and Oliver, we will win some of these high balls, but that is only useful if the midfield have pushed into the box and winning the flick-on's. Assuming SE is taking notice we will play more balls on the floor tonight, and our goals will come from the midfield at last.
I missed the game tonight, the early kick-off time really didn't help, but the result came as no surprise. Will look forward to reading the reviews, and watching the lads again on Saturday.
The same problem I'm afraid, defense can't cope with the ball on the floor with a player running at them, attack is balls lumped into the area in hope.
