    Fontwell 2.35

    Cave Top

Races of career low handicap mark.Runner-up off 7 lb higher in a chase last term. The last time the horse won over fences it was ridden by Robert Dunne who is back in the saddle today. Trainer Oliver Greenall is a rare visitor to this track so I guess connections think that conditions will suit today with first time visor added. Stable amongst the winners recently.

It’s 2yo Day at Newmarket (well almost, 6 of the 7 races are for juveniles) so naturally it is p*ssing down here at HQ

Always worth keeping an eye on the 1m Novice (3.55) on this card, it’s been a great race over the years and has produced a good number of black type horses amongst the runners including CRACKSMAN, STRADIVARIUS, KNIGHT TO BEHOLD, ENGLISH KING, PRIZE MONEY, TREFOIL, ORIENTAL MYSTIQUE and ALIGNAK.

Been to the last two renewals of this. Both of those were reasonable days with a bit of sunshine. Shame it's so bad today.
Thought the 2nd winner looked useful. As a daughter of Ghanaati , Mustaabeq should be. I presume the fact that Crowley wasn't riding him led to the good price. Is Crowley must be at Kempton this evening.

I'll take a chance on Tzar De Elfe in the 3.45 Fontwell. Put the horse up here last december when winning at Plumpton (16/1). Could go in again. Is on a good mark and Richard Rowe a good trainer in my opinion who I like to follow in chases at Fontwell

(Running well lately, and has the form to do well in this event. 7/2 currently generally available.)
