They are indeed Ciaran. I wasn't having a go, just merely pointing out that for quite a number of years Ireland benefitted enormously financially from the EU. It's only right that Ireland should be a net contributor at long last.

There has been no support from the EU for Italy.

 

Well that but more importantly the open borders, the Euro,ease of travel, medical care, human rights and who doesn't like being on a bus with a diverse mixture of people and learning their languages and cultures.

 

Surely Ireland can contribute more than fishing equipment?
