The problem with var isn't and never has been the system, its always been the clowns making the descions, they where **** before video they are still ****e.

You can give them all the help in the world, but the final descion always comes down to the lad in the big floppy shoes and red squeaky nose.

The level of refereeing in the top league is quite frankly shocking and has been for years.

Mic them up and make them accountable for their decisions.

    They're **** because they're allowed to be ****

Rugby refs are streets ahead of Football because they have to explain the decisions they make, and their Video refs are so far ahead as everyone can see and hear what they're looking at when making a video play back decision.

Its the ultimate arrogance of the FA, PL and Uefa to ignore all the other sports that use a VAR system and just come up with some cobbled together rules.

It was always going to be an issue. The VAR ref is re-reffing incidents that their colleagues and potential friends are making decisions on. it’s no real surprise that we see most of the decisions just kept to what the on field ref has seen unless it’s almost impossible to agree with it where they just maybe haven’t seen it properly etc.

Two things will now happen before Christmas, I'm sure. One is that Milner will end up at centre-back. The other is that Howard Webb will now become a VAR ref, now that everyone can see how low the bar is for competence and impartiality. :emoticon-0138-think

It's not so much that they're just agreeing with their friends or colleagues, it's the belief that the referee is somehow undermined when his decision may not possibly be correct first time round. What they fail to understand is that with how closely scrutinised the games are these days, mistakes will be highlighted on every single channel. Fans don't respect referees for getting decisions 'right' first time all on their own, they respect referees who get the decision right in the end regardless of support. What undermines the referees the most are bad calls being made despite overwhelming evidence from multiple sources and angles all saying the opposite.

It's one huge difference between rugby and football; rugby referees are a team. I've seen linesmen tell the ref that he was wrong, explain what they saw and the referee has then changed his call. Similar to their video refs; they'll tell the referee that they saw something which he'd missed and he'll change his call. They don't even need to go to the bloody TV themselves check. There's plenty of trust between qualified members of the refereeing team.

It's an absolute joke how they have access to such a brilliant system and fail so miserably with using it correctly. I still have nothing against VAR, never have done, just the inept muppets who can't use it properly.

I have been thinking about you having an injured player and it came to me, how lucky is it that PL teams can have a 25 man squad <whistle>

Can't get away from you lot mate, you're all over the board crying about a non foul and an injured player.

I vote we ban Pickford for 10 games if it will stop the whinging.

A senior figure from the Premier League was in contact with #LFC officials on Saturday and said that no check had been made by David Coote. However, Liverpool subsequently received an email from Mike Riley stating that a check on the red card had been made. #awlfc [@_pauljoyce]

Lol I actually can’t believe the level of incompetence (and potential corruption) amongst the refs. It’s clearly one big boys club.

Last I read, apparently Coote didn't know he could send pickford off. The levels of confusion just shows it was the refs and their handlers who have always been incompetent. All VAR is highlighting is the depth.

    absolute bollocks as per .
Pretty much just me and Dongo pointing out that people who said it couldn't be a red card as it was offside were wrong .

Weird cos there’s only about 3 lfc fans that regularly post there. Maybe you’re getting confused, or massively over exaggerating things..
