Appears to be gaining momentum with all four countries keen on it. Have not researched much into CANZUK but it certainly seems to have supporters across the political and social spectrum. We, as a country, certainly have far more in common with Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Certainly more so than we do with Europe. Would it work? Not for me to say. I'm no authority on the subject and I don't like sounding off on topics that I am not entirely familiar with.
So, Ive been looking into this and it looks very promising and prosperous for all concerned. We (UK) are on the verge of also signing a lucrative deal with India now that we have thrown off the shackles of the oppressive EU, thank ****. Macaroni is a ****ing tosser and is about to be kicked into touch by Marie Le Pen. I don't subscribe to far right wing politics (nor far left) but it will serve the short arsed ****y little Frog right.
Also a deal with New Zealand. I would rather have an Indian in the UK than a rapist/pickpocket Romanian
For many years after the French Revolution, their colonies fought against the French oppressors, who refused to share the concept of the new republic and Liberté, égalité, fraternité with the colonies. We of course, not only led the way in outlawing slavery across the world, we paid so handsomely in compensation, we only finished paying off that debt in very recent times...yet somehow... There are actually more people in slavery today, than were made slaves during whole of the trans atlantic trade.
Yes, we did lead the way in abolishing slavery and paying an eye watering amount to do it. We finished paying off the debt in 2014 I understand. The problem is who we paid the money to. Biggest theft in history. The descendent benefactors of which are still rolling in it. Let that doff the cap.
