Doesn't matter what colour Joleon Lescott is, he's totally **** on Soccer Saturday. He has as much charisma as a dead fish.
Of the new lot, I think Sue Smith is really good at it. I don’t mind Tony Pulis or Glen Johnson either (though Glen did totally miss his cue on week one). Clinton Morrison is worse than Windass was and they soon got rid of him. Lescott lacks charisma and Sherwood wasn’t great either. Of the old lot, I really like McInally and Kamara. The show lacks the atmosphere and feel of the old group. It was as much about their interactions with each other as it was with the reporting on games.
I think Jacqui Oatley is better than many. Certainly better and more of an all rounder than the one who seems to be flavour of the month,
Jacqui Oatley has been very good for a few years now, knows her mustard and can do other sports as well. I also have a lot of time for Ellie Oldroyd on the wireless for ages, a really competent broadcaster/ Alison Mitchell who does a lot of the cricket, very knowledgeable and has done top games long before it was PC to have a token one in the box. The flavour on the month one though is quite pleasing on the eye, if you are allowed to say that still?
I have to say after watching Sky sports this afternoon that they are taking the proverbial p1ss with their pundits at the minute to incorporate none whites and mixed sexes into the program. I'm all for equal rights to all men and women and think Sue Smith is a very good addition, but fml they had Aaron McLean on today covering games .. I mean just wtf is his credentials to score a job like that ! Talk about taking things too far the opposite direction. How many international caps did Le Tissier, Thompson, and Nicholas have between them to qualify them to give an opinion ? Not to mention the achievements they had during their playing careers.
Sky complaints keep on coming, as do their profits from those stumping up to watch it. They've never directly had a penny from me, and nor will they.
Not interested in the Sky pundit gravy train I only watch EFL on Quest now. Silverware we don't care.
I watch MOTD on iplayer and skip the pundits. I just cannot stick Ian Wright, how he keeps that job is beyond me.
Think it’s all overkill now Tho it was a shame no crowd for the spurs v West Ham game Fantastic ending
VAR will kill the game. Its sometimes difficult to tell what is a 'live' game and what is the FIFA version the kids play. No crowd, taking the knee, piped 'atmosphere', video replays, penalties for **** all, diving, cheating, the game refereed from the stand by someone watching it on a computer screen.....and VAR when a players shoulder can be offside yet a two footed flying tackle in the penalty area by a goal keeper isn't even a free kick is making a mockery of the game. The game will self destruct eventually at this rate.
