    1. Dempsey - MOM by a mile for me, no one else showed the consistency.
    2. Akinde - done more in 40 mins than Samuel and Oliver combined (this will go down well haha).
    3. Eccles - were we playing with 10 men before he came on?

The Oliver and Samuel show is not working, it needs to change! Oliver has more of a presence, so keep him on and get Samuel off. Graham, great player but who exactly was his target with the final balls today? Comeback Cody all is forgiven, our frontline couldn't out pace a snail.

    1. Dempsey - showed the effort I look for
    2. Robertson
    3. Graham - worked hard & tried - just didn't quite deliver ( that's why he's still L1 )
    4. My farts
    5. The referee's ability to recognise a penalty
    6. The nice view of the stadium ( I actually think the seats and legroom is the best I've experienced )
    7. ........ oh - are we supposed to be rating the performance of The Gills players ?
    10. The awful camera work -- did the view have to be so 'close-up' ?

Robertson was the 11th man that I was referring to in my previous post, that went missing <laugh>

Probably unfair of me, Dempsey was the only one to turn up today.

Have you noticed that of our 6 league games to date ( with not over-convincing performances ), 5 of the teams are below us in the table - only Hull are above - and going like a train. The effort and performances need to be raised in the games left in October - otherwise the table won't look as comfortable as it does.

    1. Bonham - best player we had on the pitch. Says it all really when it's our keeper getting the plaudits.
    2. Dempsey - Showed glimpses of some real quality but game passed him by in the last twenty minutes due to fatigue and us having no available subs left.
    3. Akinde - Put himself about more than the rest of our front line did in only 40 mins although it's quite clear that Akinde & Oliver together won't work

I could say that I got it wrong deliberately - I could have spelled his name O'Givile - the truth is that I typed quicker than my brain worked - and I got the two Jordans mixed up - that's the trouble with so much interchangable fart in the side

I've been trying to decide if anyone deserved marking, below are the ones I've settled on.

    1. Jordan Graham. nowhere near his best performance but worked hard, beat his man consistently, just couldn't make the crosses count. Some of the problem was also down to the forwards and midfield not getting into the box.

    2. Kyle Dempsey. Very creative and worked hard after his injury.

    3. Zech Medley. Controversial probably, but I thought he played well and did little wrong.

Would have to disagree about Medley personally, thought he did fine aerially but when he lost his man too often. If you watch the second goal, Jack Tucker comes across to the guy that Medley should be marking. Probably naïve on Jack's front but he does what he can to get to the player whereas if you watch Medley, he isn't really anywhere near. There was a few other occasions they came down our left with Ogilvie out of position and Medley was nowhere to be seen. Don't get me wrong he wasn't the worst player on our side by any means but personally felt Medley wasn't up there.

....and, continuing with my moan about lack of effort -- on one occasion in the 2nd half, Jackson was very forward, down our right side. He got the ball nicked off him - he started to chase after the MK Dons player - but - gave up after about 20 yards --- he was woefully slow -until he came to a full stop ! This was not good enough - I expect him to burst a lung 'trying' to chase back -- this lack of commitment makes my blood boil <grr>

It is your prerogative to disagree, I however didn't see him lose anybody, he was covering the near post as defenders often do.
I found it hard to single anyone out as MK played through us far to often, far to easily.
Our midfield failed to get forward, our strikers were firing blanks.
Last week you could have picked any 3 for star player as they were all working hard and putting bodies on the line.
This week you could have picked any 3 as they were all guilty of making mistakes and lacking in effort.
As I said in a previous post, I was disappointed when they stopped trying 15 minutes before the end.
