There were some blokes with damp eyes mate. How fast has he gone downhill ffs. Can only wish his family every bit of luck in the world
I did mate and I didn’t realise how quick MND took over like that. I know Rob turned down a chance to be there as a guest of honour. At first I thought it would have been a great gesture then thought he probably didn’t want all the eyes on him, he wanted his last memory of Wembley to be that of playing not sitting there with such a terrible disease. Add to that the Leeds team has changed beyond recognition to the days of Burrows, Sinfield, Peacock, McGuire, Hall and the other greats he played alongside.
I'm in no way saying I know Rob but I've certainly bumped in to him quite often over the years whilst following the Rhinos. He's a lovely lad and happy to stop and chat especially with families with kids. Always makes a fuss of them. I remember being fortunate enough to get in to the man of steel awards in 2015. Dare'nt tell you lot what table I was on. After the awards everyone was drinking in the awards room and I spent a good 15 minutes chatting to Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Rob at the bar. Great lads. I can't watch the documentary as I'd be in bits.
I notice the Red Top Rag normally called The Mirror is stating that both Liverpool and Spurs are monitoring Kalvin Phillips. Good luck with that nobbers
The clickbait rags are already creating stories about players we were looking at and didnt try for. January window comes soon so the raga have been takking to players like Kerk who were spoke to but didnt pursue. Yes he wanted to come he says and expected to go to Leeds or to Italy. Forget it journo we now have more than enough wingers and Raphinha cost twice as much as Kerk was valued at. I believe we will be bringing in a midfield player and I suspect they already know who that will be. I also think Bielsa is looking at options internally and why Shacks has not gone out on loan. We also know Bielsa is looking at giving Raphinha a new role because he thinks he is capable of it.
Bryce Hosannah had his debut for Bradford City yesterday and fans are raving about him with comments like wow, unplayable, gifted, best player here for years. He was top of every stat including pass completion, interceptions, tackles made etc. Not bad for a right back. He also got man of the match
Because there is an enormous gulf in pl and league 2. Any of our u23’s would shine there. If they didn’t, it would be poor to say the least
For the past couple if years I have been a massive fan of young Bryce and I quote Mark Jackson back then, Bryce is the fastest and most skilful player at the club. He moved early to the U23s and was outstanding and now Jacko is running the 23s has also taught him how to be a CB as thats where he's played in the last couple of 23 matches. He did ok and was loaned out. Hopefully this loan will improve him yet again but it may not. If it does we have a gem coming back to fight for a RB slot, or a lump of cash in a transfer fee?
Just seen that Danny Welbeck has signed a 12 month contract at Brighton... Decent player when fit and raring to go.
With some PL games now PPV the offering from BT Sport seems overpriced so have cancelled it. They want £26.50 a month to watch in HD on a skybox and you have to commit to a 2 year contract for that. There's a £10 a month offer if you subscribe to BT TV with a £29 set up cost so I'll probably do that, but for now I'll do without. Will pay the £14.99 to watch us against Villa on Friday but that would have been extra anyway.
Same here, then it went up to £16 and it's now gone up to £20...plus £6.50 for HD. Hopefully yours hasn't gone up as well.
