Having now seen the highlights (I could not get a stream that worked for me), I am not so sure that we were as fortunate as I thought, though perhaps not as convincing as most of us would like to see.

Blackman had a good game in goal for the Millers and made some good stops, so the chances were being created sometimes.

The defence was a disaster for the early goal, Hanley looked a bit lost or confused as the ball was headed back towards the penalty box and was caught flat-footed.

The penalty to Rotherham looked a bit harsh but I have only seen it from one angle but a good stop from Krull to deny a goal from the spot.

The build-up to the own goal to get City back into the game was a delight to watch - one-touch passing, with pace - it deserved a goal at the end of it.

Another mistake at the back nearly cost us another goal and it was only Krulls foot in the way to block the shot (which I am sure he knew little about - I didn't see him move as the ball was driven in) that denied Rotherham.

City penalty - no question about it and not even VAR would have over-ruled that. Pleased for Hugill to open his account for us.

I was quite impressed by Ladapo, looks to be a handful and is quick

In some ways it is similar to the last visit to Rotherham where they ground out a 2-1 victory, having been on the back foot several times. We know it's not an easy place to go and win so to snatch it at the end was a bit special, but our defence needs to be so much better.

Having watched the highlights, I'm even more positive about our progress this season than I was yesterday.

DF's post match interview pretty much summed up my thoughts on the season so far and the game.

For me there were many positives to take from the game and plenty of evidence that we have potential to gain promotion back to the PL.

Yes there's still a way to go before we become the type of candidate for promotion that many fans expect us to be, but at the moment my glass is definitely half full.

The tackle on Skipp was horrendous if he managed to just come away with bruises he will be very fortunate .

Totally uncalled for and could have put him out for months, I still believe the club have taken a massive gamble in some areas by not strengthening but I also understand in the current financial crisis it's very good to have money put away to ensure our club survives way beyond the next couple of seasons.

I'm not getting too excited yet but the doom and gloom of last season is lifting.

The last minute winner will hopefully bring confidence and that's priceless

    Farke's view:

“We still missed so many chances and were back because after two minutes we were not really switched on and were a bit unlucky. It was difficult for Grant in his first start in a league game since lockdown, but he reacted top class with his performance afterwards. Adam Idah had his first appearance in the starting lineup on Championship level and gave away an unnecessary penalty because the opponent was on the escape from our box but gave the referee a decision to make, although I think it was a soft one. Because of these situations we were 1-0 back. Tim Krul, the best goalkeeper in the league was able to be there with an outstanding save. Everyone was a bit down at half-time but I liked our mentality. I said ‘listen, keep going. We can be annoyed because we created so many chances and missed so many, but we have to keep going.’ The attitude that my lads showed in the second half to force the result, first with a great equaliser and then a late penalty, is top class. It’s a big win and I’m fully convinced that not many teams will win here in Rotherham, especially at the beginning of the season when they play with all their rhythm after promotion, so it’s definitely a massive win for us.”

Agree with that, especially the 'mentality' that kept us going to the end, something often missing last season. I'd bring back Pukki for the Birmingham game, not because of the penalty, but because Idah didn't make the most of his chance (6.2 on WhoScored). Hugill and Pukki together could make it really difficult for Birmingham.

I hope Cantwell knuckles down and fights to get back into the team and this isn't another repeat of the Oliviera saga .
Not sure what we are going to do with Drmic and Leitner are they even squad members ?

The sooner the trio of Cantwell, Stiepermann and Buendia are playing together again in this division, the better. Let's get the average pass length down and start playing our way through sides, not throwing inaccurate long balls forward.

“He has too much quality not to play an important role for us in the next weeks” (DF)

He was referring to Cantwell. Apparently doesn't apply to the most talented player on our books though.
