Are you still doing that? Did Hassenhuttl get PTSD from our match and forget it? You had such a great first half and got undone by the same ball in behind about a million times. How's he not learned from that?
I think the way he really wants us to play we don't have the players for. Tried it last season and changed it after the Leicester game and seems to be giving it another go this. Chelsea's second goal was just a ball over to the top to Werner while the defence were about ten yards away from halfway. We did sign a new CB this Summer but he hasn't been seen yet.
You did really well after that Leicester game. Why change it? Bednarek and Vestergaard aren't bad centre-halves, but they're not quick and neither is Romeu.
Given how your team completely lost their heads against the first decent (but understrength) team they played what do you think you should aim for this season? Europa League qualification and League Cup semi-final?
Bednarek is decent enough, don't rate Vestergaard much though. Slower turning circle than a cruise ship. Romeu not being mobile enough is, imo at least, the biggest issue with Ralph's style.
I wouldn't say at our best we gave you opportunities and at times it could have gone either way. Yes we should have won it with that goal but I'll take an away point and a good performance after our disaster against Villa.
Yeah, he can't close down the other team's midfield like Hojbjerg did. He'd be fine at shielding a deeper line, though. It's too dogmatic from Hassenhuttl to try to stick to his guns when it doesn't work.
Agreed. Maybe the new centre back and midfielder will make a difference but until then it simply doesn't work against teams with pacey forwards. It was painfully obvious in the first half against you lot too that it wasn't working. You just happened to get caught offside 75 times.
You didn’t give us opportunities mate, we created them. I was obvs hoping we’d do you lot today, but a point isn’t a disaster
