With the tough games coming up, it would be good to get something out of this match.

The trouble is I think MK are a lot better than their league position suggests.

    Crewe V MK lost 2 - 0.
    MK V Lincoln lost 1 - 2.
    Doncaster v MK Draw 1 - 1.
    MK V Ipswich Draw ! - !.
    Portsmouth v MK lost 2 - 1.

They have managed a draw against Doncaster and Ipswich, the loses have all been very close and it's been their in-ability to score that has cost them, they have just signed Cameron Gerome too try and address that problem.
We will need to be at our best if we want to get anything from this game.

MK Dons are probably due a win, and it's pretty much evens on the heads to heads, so might go for a draw in the prediction league on this one.

First game of the season I'm getting to watch. Two changes to the lineup that beat Oxford with skipper Kyle Dempsey returning to the side alongside Celtic loanee Scott Robertson. Jacob Mellis reported throwing up all last night so isn't involved and Josh Eccles drops to the bench.

Poor all round show today, but will save my view for the moment, until the star player goes up.

I chose a great game for my first one didn't I <doh>. Apart from the 20 minutes after conceding the first goal I can't say that we put up much of a fight at all. Too many long balls played up to some experienced, wiley defenders like Keogh & Lewington to easily deal with. Bread and butter stuff for them. Bonham, Dempsey and maybe a claim for Akinde are the only players to come out with some positives really and even Dempsey looked out on his feet after 70 minutes. The defending for me today was as if we had gone back in time two or three years, quite woeful.

My big disappointment was when we seemed to give up for the last 15 minutes.

    SE will have a good weekend, Gills lost 2 - 0, Celtic lost 2 - 0 :emoticon-0136-giggl

    I
I wished that I didn't have to agree with you.
Maybe we should not have won last week - but we gave a decent effort - and got extremely lucky --- today we got what we deserved - nothing !
Please don't bleat about the penalty we should have got -- the referee and linesman were an utter disgrace over the incident -- but --

Apart from the fact that Oliver and Samuel should have scored -- there were several occasions when the marking in our defence was appalling - and MK Dons could / should easily have doubled their tally.
So - what have we had so far; An unconvincing performance and loss v Hull. Against Wigan - we played them at a 'good time'. The Blackpool result and performance was decent. We scraped a draw in injury time v Shrewsbury in an awful game. Against Oxford we used up all the luck we can expect in one season. Today - very little quality in the final third of the pitch - and virtually no effort for the last 20 minutes --- and it is the lack of 100% commitment - which produced some dire watching that is why people will continue to watch the EPL on Sky and BT and will not be tempted to return to Priestfield.................
I've said before - we are what we are - basically a mid-table 3rd tier club.... I haven't got a major problem with that - I have a problem with a lack of effort... The last 20 minutes wasn't worth one of my farts !...........................

...... now leave me alone whilst I watch the Man City v Arsenal game
